We got seated pretty quickly. Our waiter took our order and brought our drinks in no time but we had to wait longer than expected for our meals. The waiter was friendly and checked on us a few times and offered drinks to go. I got the peach bourbon mahi and my husband got the southwestern salad. My mahi came with rice and salad. It was great. My husband didn't like the chicken that much, it was dry. The place is beautiful with a view of the Mississippi River. Overall a great experience

Best brisket I’ve ever eaten, I had the Brisket Breakdown sandwich. And don’t get me started on how they serve their sweet potato fries, with powder sugar on top with a side of brown sugar sauce dip it was amazing.

This place is the jewel of Southwest IL. Their food is great and it’s right on the Mississippi River.

Great experience! The restaurant has a very interesting history (who would have guessed that Charles Dickens was once there?!). The food is quite generously portioned. I got the fish plate, which was easily enough for two meals. Same with my mom's Landmark Salad (which looked amazing). Prices are fair and the service was good. Recommended!

Very cool little restaurant overlooking the river. The food was great, the beer was delicious, the service was a little slow late on a Sunday afternoon - everything else made up for a slight lag in service.

Definitely NOT my favorite place visited here awhile back from my birthday dinner and it was horrible. My steak was overcooked. I couldn't get the waitress to come back and we definitely won't be back. Got an email stating they would make it right they never did. I do not recommend. Definitely an ALCOHOLIC establishment not for food.

I hate giving a 1 star. I especially hate it because we like St. Nicholas especially the one at the airport. And also the one in DuQuoin so we had high hopes for this one. First the patio seating area was very disappointing and that was our main reason to go. It was a beautiful cooler August day and we thought it would be nice to sit outside and enjoy eating looking out over the river. We didn't even sit outside. ?. We got there a little after 12 for lunch and waited an hour for our food. There was 1 waitress. And as you can imagine one waitress for the whole restaurant she didn't get to our table very often. My husband had ordered a drink and waited almost 20 minutes for it to come then when it did it was wrong twice. Got our food. My husband didn't even get what he ordered and I got the fish tacos with fries and the tacos came out but not with fries. The waitress said the fries would be coming out but they never did. The fish tacos were ok. They literally came with a fish stick in them and the rest of the taco was filled with slaw and cheese. The inside of the restaurant was nice we did like that but the rest of the experience was so bad. Not worth visiting again. They did comp my husband's meal.

Had a buffalo sandwich and fries and the food was good. Was disappointed that they didn't have any Non alcoholic beers but only a soda option. Service was ok but she didn't offer any extra napkins with a messy sandwich and I only had the one the silverware was rolled in. The butter knife that I was given also looked to have a rust spot on the blade end.

The best scenic view is this area. Relaxing astompher, the food is delicious and so satisfying. I'm not much of a beer drinker, but there is quite the selection of craft beers. They do serve one of the best Bahama Mommas around!!
