Small family restaurant that gets right to the point. Satisfying comfort food. One burek is at least two meals and it is PACKED with filling. I appreciated the flavor on the beef and onion more than the beef and potato, though that's a small preference as I will happily be eating either one of them again. The potatos are chunk-cut which was a pleasant surprise - I expected a mashed potato consistency. The chunks of potato are a delightful texture.
Price per person is incredibly affordable as one burek will easily feed two people. Including tax and tip your coming in around at $10-15 per person for food that's delicious and unique to the neighborhood.

Good Croatian food
We got the potato burek which was very savory and filling. The atmosphere is so cozy and cute. I do wish it came with a some ajvar and kaymak on the side, that would have been perfect.

Food is authentic and ridiculously tasty. The owner is the one doing the cooking and you can really feel the love she puts into the customer experience. Cannot recommend this place highly enough!

BUREK offers a great dining value with generous portions, friendly hospitality, and a clean, welcoming environment. The quality of the food justifies the price, and the overall experience is highly recommended. Great european restaurant style place!!!

My husband and I tried this place after visiting Chicago from Louisville, KY and needing something familiar and reasonably priced. My husband is from Bosnia so this was comfort food for us. The food was delicious and the owner was so nice. Next time we come to Chicago we will come back here and eat. Hvala!!

A real treasure. A couple of months ago I saw their video on IG and optimised I would come someday.
Highly recommended - great cevapi, spinach and cheese burek ajvar and Shopska salad dinner - more than enough for my brother and I, and the baklava was superb as well. Can't wait to try the crepes and Maria and her mother were both a pleasure, they made us felt like we were guests at their home

Marija and her family are incredibly welcoming and friendly, the burek is super (the best I’ve ever had). If I had to choose my last meal , I would choose this burek. My buddy and I came for a meal and left with an experience!! Hvala Marija!!!
