I had the great fortune of eating breakfast at 5 loves several years ago. It was a really good experience, as the food and service was perfect. I own a business near 75th and S. South Chicago Ave. and was nice to have a place in my "hood" to be able to go to. I wish you the best, and I am hoping you can get over the hurdles and open up again. I'll be your first customer.

I had to delete my review from years ago bc for the last few weeks this establishment has been MIA and has failed to update their customers via their website or social media pages. I placed an order via ChowNow this am & the platform actually called me to cancel bc they couldn’t even get through to the restaurant. Their phones are busy and I guess if you live nearby you could pop by but it’s too many other restaurants on 75th whose online ordering platforms work to keep going back and forth with 5 loaves. I don’t like to wait in restaurants for my food I rather order at home and pickup when it’s ready. It’s just convenient. It’s sad bc I love their food and would love to support but communication goes a long way.

Ordered through UberEats. My bacon was cold and old. Potatoes were soft and mushy, not crispy. Spicy salmon croquettes were good, I'm glad I listened to the other reviews and got them. I hope they add French toast as an option for the build your own omelet.

This is a hidden gem on the south side of Chicago, they are truly amazingly delicious. It’s has a southern cuisine feel and the cook make everything with love and care. The are truly a gem in the community “ keep up the good work and god bless….!!!!

UPDATE: This rating is not for the service provided, yet for the service provided to handle the poor service received. Management painlessly refunded me without question; due to the circumstance and my food was accurate and of quality. I appreciate the SUPERB customer service...I placed an UberEats order at 11:45am today and at 14:12 and my food still isn’t ready. The driver has been waiting at the restaurant at least 40 min. I know this because I texted them multiple times and they have been openly communicating with me. The restaurant also isn’t answering their phone. For a delivery order, through UberEats and as a premium member, I find great issue with their partnership with this restaurant. This one experience forces me to give this review and poor rating and not recommend this restaurant. I hope my order is accurate and of quality. Still waiting on it.

Extra long wait staff has no customer service came into pick up my order they didn’t nothing to me for 10 mins in the back laughing playing then was rude when I said is my food ready. Not a welcoming place to go will not try again

5 Loaves Eatery has some delicious food. I went inside and picked up the food I ordered online. Lemon pancakes, buttermilk syrup, salmon croquettes, and eggs over. The food was deelicious and unique in taste with the lemon pancakes and buttermilk syrup. The drawback is that the neighborhood might be a little rough! I had not shopped or eaten there before. As a matter of fact, I am not sure they have sitdown eating. I picked my on-line order up from inside, and it did not appear there was sitdown service. Delivery service for the restaurant might be a consideration, if they don't have it as of now. Food was great. Neighborhood seemed a little rough; although I walked a couple of blocks from where I parked with no incident.

I have grown to love the staff. I have been dining here for years. I always take my family and friends from in and out of town to 5 Loaves that have never been. The food is delicious I just hate that the wait time for a meal. I understand it's b/c it's prepared fresh and everyone is ordering it too! If they ever decide to have discount days or coupons I'm all for it!!!
