5 Loaves is one of the best restaurants on the South side as far as good quality is concerned. This family owned business takes every single dish from mediocre to excellent. I hope that the family gets the business back up and running soon. It's certainly missed by community at large.

Ordered the Popeye omelet, biscuit, rice, and house potatoes. With a quart size Tea/Lemonade a.k.a Tiger Woods. The biscuit and house potatoes were really good. Some of my rice was cooked to hard. I would visit again though.

I had the great fortune of eating breakfast at 5 loves several years ago. It was a really good experience, as the food and service was perfect. I own a business near 75th and S. South Chicago Ave. and was nice to have a place in my "hood" to be able to go to. I wish you the best, and I am hoping you can get over the hurdles and open up again. I'll be your first customer.

I had to delete my review from years ago bc for the last few weeks this establishment has been MIA and has failed to update their customers via their website or social media pages. I placed an order via ChowNow this am & the platform actually called me to cancel bc they couldn’t even get through to the restaurant. Their phones are busy and I guess if you live nearby you could pop by but it’s too many other restaurants on 75th whose online ordering platforms work to keep going back and forth with 5 loaves. I don’t like to wait in restaurants for my food I rather order at home and pickup when it’s ready. It’s just convenient. It’s sad bc I love their food and would love to support but communication goes a long way.

I ordered thru Doordash today and it did not disappoint. Pancakes for my son and French toast for me and the delicious spicy salmon omelette. I used to live around the corner and I was able to enjoy more. Still consistently good food and kind people when you get to go in. Please try them out! Everything I've tasted is good.
