My Viet friend took me here and it was a great recommendation! I got the oxtail pho which the pho broth was so tasty that you don't need to add sauces to it. The oxtails were a little on the smaller side but the meat was juicy and tender. I was oddly the most impressed by and fixated on the side bean sprouts because they are the freshest and crunchiest I've ever had in my life. That alone already won me over LOL!

We ordered their special pho and spring rolls. Pho was ok, broth is meaty. Spring rolls were lacking, only lettuce and noodles with pork and shrimp. Interesting decor. Once we got our food, they never came back and our water was never refilled. Tight squeeze, very cold if you sit by the windows.

We a group of four family members celebrated New Year eve at this place, ordered four bowls of Pho noodle soup. The soups were barely warm, when dropped the cold bean sprouts into the bowls. The noodle soups became cold soups.

While outdoor snow was falling, a ceiling fan right over our heads blowed the napkins to the floor, and cooling the soups further. All of us ate half of the noodles and packed the rest home to heat them up. We will not be back for good.

My first time trying pho, and it was too damn good. I got the Kobe beef pho, wings, fried squid, spring rolls, and the fried rice all were really good. Definitely will come back and try new items.

We had pho at Pho Nam Lua, and it was hands down the best pho we’ve ever had. The broth was incredibly rich, deeply flavorful, and perfectly balanced—comforting and delicious in every way. The noodles and meat were fresh and well prepared, and each bowl was packed with authentic flavor. If you’re looking for truly outstanding pho in Chicago, this place is a must. Highly recommended!

Pho lives or dies by it's broth. I've been to many places that tasted like nothing.

The rich, aromatic broth here at Pho Nam Lua was wonderful. You could actually smell and taste the spices that make it. That's the most important thing to me.

Everything else was great: the meat, the crisp veggies, the spring rolls and eggrolls.
The service was quick and friendly. I think it's a family place where all the kids pitch in.
All in all, a great dining experience, and I will be back. Because: broth.

We've been here many times; honestly, the food is great! But we always know that the service isn't going to be great, and sometimes we have to eat a little faster. They close at 9 p.m. I believe the kitchen closes at 8:30, but even getting there at 8pm there is no more dine-in. We travel 30 minutes, and we really tried to be there before the kitchen closed, yet they said no more dine-in. It doesn't look pleasant when customers are still eating and they start placing chairs on top of the tables and sweeping the floor before closing time, which is 9 p.m. Customers check the information on Google too, so we're hoping they can follow what it says there. I know the food is good, but they forgot that service and atmosphere are also important. I can always edit my review when we get a better service and google information is accurate. Food again is great and we will still eat there.
