Cute spot that we’ve been to many times but lately the empanadas have lost flavor and were kind of one note and unseasoned, even the sauces didn’t help

Stopped by 5411 Empanadas on Southport for a quick bite. Tried the Malbec Beef and Bacon, Date & Goat Cheese empanadas—both were flavorful, though I wish they were a bit larger for the price. The caramelized onion empanada was a standout—sweet and savory with a nice crunch. Service was friendly, and the spot had a laid-back vibe. A solid choice for a casual meal, but a bit on the pricier side.

Ordered through DoorDash during the first attempt the wrong order was picked up. During the second only half my order was delivered. Empanadas were decent though but won’t be ordering anymore.

Fix this damn gas leak. I’m sick of smelling gas every time I go to buy an empanada. Your employee shouldn’t have to deal with these deadly conditions or the owners flippant behavior. Bullshit I can’t spend 20 minutes in here to eat an empanada and have a cup of coffee without getting a headache. How do you think your employees feel scumbags. I’m calling people’s gas in the morning <3

It was like eating stuffed saltines. Bad.

Yo, 5411 Empanadas on Southport is straight fire. Rolled in with a buddy and we went to town on a bunch of their baked empanadas—each one just $4.75. The Malbec Beef was juicy with that red wine kick, and the Bacon, Dates & Goat Cheese? Sweet and savory perfection. We also tried the Mac & Cheese and Chicken Curry—both legit. Dropped about $30 total, and we were stuffed. The spot's got a chill vibe, friendly staff, and it's perfect for a quick bite or hanging out. If you're in Lakeview and craving something tasty, this place is a must.

Empanadas if they went to college and got a degree haha. Would recommend the malbec beef and chimichurri combo. A little pricey but a must try!

The empanadas are cafeteria grade at best and over priced for the quality I have received.

The beef empanada is ground meat. Very disappointed.

Packed on Tuesday nights when they're only $2 per empanada. This location has beer. They make their empanadas to order so if they're backed up, they will stop taking new orders.

Vegetarian options: Ingredients aren't labeled but it's in the title

Dietary restrictions: You'll have to look things up, not really an option to change ingredients.

Parking: Crowded neighborhood, good luck finding parking

Kid-friendliness: Great flavor selection

Wheelchair accessibility: First floor no steps

I am Argentine. I'm in the USA and I wanted to eat empanadas. I came looking for a different experience and I found it. I wanted to try different flavors and I achieved it. And on top of that I was able to have a Fernecito. Congratulations!

Absolutely disgusting, the empanadas seré undercooked and only 3 inches long or less, I asked for an exchange or to be remade and they just heated them up. The dough is thin and it tastes store bought, the chimichurri sucks, not authentic at all!

Their coffee is actually pretty good and their alfajores saved the day, exquisite and authentic, probably because they don't make them if you want to try a good Argentinian dessert this is a good place for it, but not the food, not at all.

Overpriced, bad taste, raw food.

These reconcha rotos are not even Argentinian, small and raw empanadas. They didn't give me new ones but instead heated them in a microwave so that the dough finished cooking. The chimichurri is disgusting, the 5-star comments are from Americans without a palate who are surprised by anything foreign. I definitely would not return to this place, if you are Latina and looking for the comments in Spanish they are ALL bad.
