5411 Empanadas | Wicker Park

Food is great. Service is horrible. I ordered 9 items, they sent 4. They got less than 50% of the order right. It’s the 3rd time it happened. Definitely not recommended. I’m never ordering from them again.

Waited for over 20 mins and not once did employee come to take my order or even acknowledge me.. he was more concerned with talking with other people, mind you there was literally only 3 people besides myself..I guess the service for this place went downhill since I was last here, how sad

Place the is nice, small and quiet. Food is good, just a bit pricey is all.

They have really fallen off over the years. The quality has gone down hill. The
Mushroom one was watery, the carmalized onions weren’t. They still had bite to them and weren’t sweet.

On top of that these have gotten pricey. Less for more

Good empanadas. A little overpriced. Good alfajores too! They gave us an extra one for free :)

The empanadas were okay…. Nothing crazy, I tried 4 of them, the Mac and cheese, Chorizo Black Bean & Egg, beef, and Bacon, Dates & Goat Cheese…. I would not crazy or go back for any of them, it was good to try but nothing special.

Cozy little spot! A cjicken curry empanada and their hot chocolate is the perfect way to enjoy a frosty day like today! Try their alfajores!!!

Great food, service, and price. Nice that they even had beer on tap.

It was nicely decorated for the holiday season.

Not a lot of room for seating.

Only negative was the alfajores had carrageenan (inflammatory stabilizer ingredient) in the ingredient list.

I am Amazon Driver and it was my first time in this area delivering packages and I stopped to buy some empanadas and they are very delicious. I would go back again with my family.

The Mac and cheese was INSANE.

And yes, I will complain that they're very small for the price. ?

Stopped here after a concert at chop shop.
Got 3 empanadas.
Mac and cheese stuffed
Chicken and caramelized onion.
My favorite was the Mac and cheese but they were all good!
I wouldn’t go out of my way to go here but if you’re in the neighborhood I would stop by!

Very rich and different variety

Just stopped in for a quick snack and I was very impressed with my empanada! My first thought was the price felt steep for the amount of food, but the quality and taste of the ingredients made up for it. They have a Tuesday “happy hour” deal that I will definitely be returning for!
