It's currently closed indefinitely and has been for quite a while. Not sure why Google keeps refusing to update it when I try to fix this misinformation. Remember, don't assume Google Maps is accurate, or any general map service for that matter.
To whoever has been neglecting this listing: let me know when you actually open and I'll give it a shot with an updated review.
Haven’t been in years, but glad to see The Abbey is back! It was always one of my favorite venues back in the day. So much nostalgia for this place. Saw lots of great local bands in both the live room and the pub. There is a good-sized stage in the live room with standing room on the floor and a balcony with seating, plus a bar at the back of the room. The separate restaurant/pub section is a nice cozy setting for acoustic shows. Good food from what I recall and strong drinks, friendly staff. Can be tough to find parking, but that’s Chicago for ya. Get there early and plan for street parking.

Just another brew pub fad... I'm disheartened by the roots of this restaurant. Do yourself a favor and read a few articles regarding the previous owners, the Looneys. Distasteful is what you call those gaining on other's losses.

It was Great!
We decided on the Abbey Pub for dinner, just after St. Patrick's Day, but when we arrived, we found that the Abbey Pub has been closed for some time. There is no indication that it will be re-opening. The phone number has been disconnected and the website is no longer functional.
So many cherished memories from the early Abbey days. The most important Breege was when you introduced me to Margaret Boyd. You said if she Nannies for you you’ll never look back. And so the friendship grew from strength to strength. I could write a book but so many great friendships began and blossomed under your roof.
Great pub!
Grabbed a quick drink after a long day. Loved the atmosphere.
