Great food in a nice location. The staff went out of their way to provide the seating that I had requested.
Outstanding and very wonderful for my gluten free guests. Thoughtful and friendly service.
This is my new favorite spot ... we were a group of six, and three arrived quite a bit after our reservation time because of traffic. There was no pressure, we were told not to worry, and it really took off the concern of messing up the reservation. As always, the food was spectacular and the service was perfect.
Had a memorable, lovely lunch after AIC with bestie. Great waiter and I loved the elderflower NA cocktail! The best I've had by far. We got 4 apps and they were super delicious and each bite was unique and flavorful. FULL MARKS
Be aware that they close the kitchen at 8:30. They close the bar at 8:45. They will ask you to leave at 9:30. And it was not politely... Plan your reservation time accordingly.
Waiter was very nice and organized and truly was good at writing down orders even the ones that were last minute.
A great option if you're looking for an authentic upscale Italian experience in downtown Chicago. The dining room was a little crowded and a little noisy, but the food and service more than made up for it! Would highly recommend
We went during Happy Hour and seemed that the beverage menu is very limited and did not have every item available. Happy hour dishes were OK for the value but kind of plane. We order a Apple Salad which had more croutons and apples and Pumpkin Ravioli that were very plane. The location is amazing but they could do a lot better with food since there are many good competitors.
The whole meal was amazing. The taste, our server Hannah was outstanding, the whole meal was 100/10. We will be back!
Great tip of hat to the cuisine of the Marche area of Italy. A bit unusual for someone looking for the the Italian fare they know, but well worth effort to break out of your comfort zone. We'll be back to give it another go.

First time dining at Acanto. Very nice experience. Anniversary meal with my wife. Server brought us two small glasses of wine for the occasion...nice touch. Food was excellent. I had the fusilli with seafood and my wife had lobster ravioli. Server was attentive and not intrusive. Table was romantic with real candle set up on table. Dessert was very good as well. I had an almond cake with vanilla Gelato and roasted plums. My wife enjoyed her chocolate Gelato with expresso poured over it. Would absolutely return.
Food and service quality was quite good though a bit overpriced. There was a charge for bred and olive oil which I think is outlandish and rude.
From the appetizers to the dessert, everything was delicious. Especially Burrata salad and Bruschetta were amazing. This was my second time and I am definitely coming back again.
We sat on the patio and enjoyed lunch - arugula salad, chicken piccata, a cheese plate... and more. The meal was so good that we decided or order a whole new set of food to-go so that we could take it home and enjoy another Acanto meal the following day. Special mention of that cauliflower - wow!
What a great combination ! Perfect service from our server and really delicious black bass and salads !! I'll be back
