I walked into Acanto right as happy hour was starting, and it was exactly what I needed after a visit to the Art Institute. I was solo, but they treated me like a regular—super welcoming and relaxed vibe.
I sat out on the patio and ordered the arancino and the burrata with prosciutto off the happy hour menu. Both were excellent—fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. Perfect portion sizes for a light early dinner.

I do wish Google let you give more nuanced reviews than 4 or 5 stars. I can't say that Acanto is as low as 4 starts but 5 means it was utter perfection, which is also a high bar. But I'll say this: I stopped in randomly on a whim without doing any prior research and was pleasantly surprised. The honey dew melon is a dish I'd go back for over and over again. I haven't stopped thinking about it since I've had it. Do not pass that up.
Salad was tasty and fresh (definitely recommend), main dishes ok (salmon smelled fishy a bit, pomodoro meatballs had weird taste).
