Blown away. First off, our server Chad was dynamic, stellar and met our every whim. Ps. He was super fun. Ask for him if you have a chance. He guided us through the menus, recommended dishes and drink pairings. The food was amazing. Simple but complex, layers of flavor. We had the octopus and gnocco fritto, then the Campanella pasta followed by the veal chop and the seasonal eggplant Bolognese. We ended dinner with the chocolate mouse and an espresso martini. We will definitely be back!

Adalina is a beautiful romantic restaurant perfect to enjoy a cocktail or Italian fare on summer evening opening wide their large paneled windows allowing for the warm breeze to enter. Their service is impeccable and incredibly busy over the weekend.

Bread service is impeccable and a must! The pasta is absolutely fresh and delicious. A very cute date night or ladies night out spot.

Friends and I came in for just a drink on a mid Saturday. The place was empty that time, and quiet enough people were there getting some work done and with their laptops. Our bartender/waiter was amazing, he was helpful with picking out drinks and came by to check on us. The drinks are very well prepared and definitely strong.

Adalina in Chicago's prestigious Gold Coast offers a dining experience that almost lives up to its ambitious goals under the leadership of Michelin-starred chef Soo Ahn. The menu, a blend of Northern and Southern Italian influences, showcases a delightful array of dishes that cater to both shared dining and singular culinary delights. The standout dish during our visit was the inventive Chicken Parmizza, a successful hybrid of chicken parmigiana and pizza that impressed with its bold flavors. Similarly, the GNOCO FRITTO with its creamy ricotta and honey was a flawless mix of texture and taste, clearly highlighting Chef Ahn's culinary prowess. The venue itself creates an enchanting atmosphere suitable for everything from romantic evenings to business dinners. The well-curated beverage and wine list adds a sophisticated touch, promising to elevate the meal with a suitable accompaniment. However, the service did not match the high standards set by the food and ambiance. The lack of attentiveness from the host and waitress was noticeable and detracted from the overall experience, especially given the premium price point. This aspect of our visit was disappointing and surprising, considering the restaurant's commitment to refined hospitality. Adalina is a gem for its culinary offerings and charming setting, but there is room for improvement in the service department to truly reflect its high-end dining promise.

I love the setting of this Italian Gold Coast gem. Service was great. I love a server that knows the menu well enough to provide great recommendations. I think my expectations were incredibly high for the food, although it was good I was expecting spectacular. Regardless, I gave 4 stars solely on the table seating was extremely crowded and everyone (including servers) kept bumping our chairs and table and it was extremely frustrating and disturbing.

Service was great. Menu was not as advertised on website. Charged $3.00 to add ice to a glass of whiskey. $12.00 for bread service which was the size for person. Gnocchi main course was all tomatoes 2 pieces of Gnocchi. Will not return to this restaurant and do not recommend.

Meh. Our group tried oysters, meatballs, a couple pastas, and a meat dish. The oysters were served with cocktail sauce and straight up horseradish, which is fine for oysters that don't taste like much. And they didn't. The pastas had a nice bite, but were drowned in sauces that were just a bit... off (the Calabrian chili tasted dusty, like it was shaken out of an old McCormick's box). The little popped rice balls on the ravioli did add an interesting texture, though, and the meatball were great! Oh and we got the shortrib. Which I forgot about, because it was fine. Maybe a little tough. Wine list was a riff on "show off wines for expense accounts." (Do people even have expense accounts any more?) Shrug. I like a wine menu with a little more variety in the pricing; it takes more skill to curate. The staff were very friendly but also abit too overeager in terms of serving, refilling wine glasses, and removing dishes. Let things breathe a little, folks! I felt rushed, which perhaps we were -- half the dining room seemed to be filled with large groups. Decor is lovely. Maybe this is a place for a glass of something nice in front of the open windows some afternoon or summer night, with a little shared plate or two. As long as they don't rush you.

Came here on a Friday evening for a birthday dinner. Upon walking up, the ambiance gives elegance. You know you're walking into quite the place. Low lightening, soft jazz music and laughter from amongst patrons. We were seated in the back of the restaurant at a Thanksgiving like table. Our server (name not received) was phenomenal. She was quick, attentive and definitely had great memory. She ensured we were all well taken care of. I ordered the Girelle pasta dish for $23. Normally, the pasta dishes are on the smaller side so they encourage you to possible get a side or use it as an app to the bigger plates. However, I felt my dish was perfect for one person to eat and be full. Was I satisfied? Yes, yes I was. You can definitely taste that the pasta is made fresh and in house. The flavors and textures paired well with one another. For the price, portion, and experience, I felt this was well worth it. I do anticipate returning to try other dishes.

Overpriced cold food along with slow service. Very disappointing. The manager stated he watched our food be plated once we complained that our appetizers had been cleared for over 45 minutes. The food for our group of 8 was delivered cold or semi-warm with most having a hard crust on top reflective of sitting under a heat lamp for an extended time.

I would give this place a million stars if I could. Me and my bestie came here on a. Snowy rainy evening and thé servir was excellent. I had called prior to make sure they were open at 4 for happy hour since we wanted to enjoy the whole 2 hours of happy hour. The gentleman on the phone was very patient and explained what they had on special. I really don't want to say too many good things about this place since I feel like it could get quite crazy with happy hour, what I love about it is was that our server kami brought the most exceptional service throughout our 4 hours there. Time flew as we ordered oysters , 3 dozen!! Two half bottles of Perrier jouet, and two appetizers( focccia ) and this delicious Brussels sprout!) We also had two cocktails each( old fashioned and a dirty martini made of gin) Everything was lovely from start to finish. There was no restrictions on having to sit at the bar area ONly for happy hour and they treated us as if we were having dinner!
