The boneless chicken biriyani I ordered was substandard with the rice all dried up (not moist at all) and tasted very bad. Please avoid this place if you have cravings to eat biriyani and try somewhere else.

You charge 18% mandatory service charge for dine in.
You write it on website. You know that No one would read that and therfore you do not inform someone who is dining. You don't even have that mentioned that on the menu.
You are indirectly scamming! Put it on the menu and see how many people sit there.

We went for dinner around 6pm on a Friday - not crazy busy. Sat right away. The food was out of this world. Flavors are amazing. Portions are just right. My only complaint is that they have a bar with seating and everything but only serve certain drinks. I could totally understand if they didn't have a bar or anything and they just had a handful to choose from - but again they have a full bar with the booze there on display. Maybe hire a bartender? Either way, if you're just going for the food - would highly recommend and will be back.

Horrible Dining Experience - Never Coming Back
We visited Adda Indian Cuisine on Taylor Street today, expecting a nice Indian meal, but it turned out to be a nightmare. We ordered soup, chicken biryani, baigan saraf, and roti. The chicken biryani was by far the WORST we’ve ever had. The rice was dry, tough, and seemed like it had been reheated or made with old ingredients. We only took one bite before realizing how inedible it was.
We brought this to the server’s attention, and he sent over the food supervisor, who was wearing a yellow t-shirt. The supervisor took the biryani back to the kitchen, claiming he’d check with the chef. However, he returned with the same bowl, insisting there was nothing wrong with it. He refused to replace the biryani, or make another order. Instead, he pressured us to eat the bad biryani, which we ended up leaving untouched. To top it off, they still charged us for the Chicken Biryani!
We’re extremely disappointed and worried about potential food safety issues after this experience. The service was rude and dismissive, and the staff clearly doesn’t care about customer satisfaction or food quality. Also, be aware—there’s paid Chicago street parking, which adds to the frustration of dining here.
Do yourself a favor: avoid this place at all costs

Our dinner was perfect! Will share a picture of what we ordered, we also got the vegetable Somosas. The waiter recommended a different dish and I really enjoyed it.

What a gem of a restaurant! The food was fresh and not overly spicy. Every item was prepared with care. The lunch buffet had a variety of dishes and was a great bargain!
It’s comforting to know Adda will provide top quality Indian cuisine in the heart of Taylor street. Will definitely go back!

a very lowkey indian restaurant with pretty good food. we had a lunch reservation for 5 people on a sunday and definitely didn’t need it - we were the only party there
we tried the vegetable samosa, onion pakora, gobi manchurian, chicken 65, angarey tandoori chicken, garlic naan, dal makhani, boneless chicken biryani, and chicken chettinad. the chicken 65 was my favorite - perfectly flavored with a hint of spiciness. also really enjoyed the gobi manchurian - it was my first time trying it and i was surprised at how much reminded me of chinese food without being a fully chinese dish. garlic naan and dal makhani were also delicious. we asked for medium spiciness on everything but nothing was particularly spicy - definitely very kind to american palettes
for how much we paid for all that food, it was fantastic value - under $30 per person including tax/gratuity. note: they automatically include 18% gratuity on the bill

Adda is a great spot for classic North Indian food, curries and biryanis. We love to come here on a weekday because the vibes are great! Everything always comes out fresh, hot and timely. The flavors are so good for every dish. We especially love the Bhatti Di Paneer and Paneer Makhani.

Everything was above and beyond food, service, ambiance and restrooms were super clean. Food was flavorful and staff was welcoming. Must try if you're in Chicago. Very close to UIC on Taylor street.
