Dirty restaurant in general
Food too small to costs the price it cost you can get three time more food For the same food at the same price somewhere else so big scam and for a better taste cause them food don’t taste fresh and smell bad.
Service Disrespectful and talking to you like your money don’t worth them dishes like they are doing you a favor specially the small lady she too bad and you Oder over the phone they said 20 minute and when you show up to pick up your food you finally realize they never make it and you have to wait another 20 minute so they can make it zero professionnalisme.
Bad ambiance in general and very bad smell and restaurant to dirty to still be open and you will be more disappointed once you get your food in your hands to go there wasting time totally

Fantastic food. Egusi and fufu was fabulous, as was the oxtail. For context I've never been to West Africa, so I can't comment on authenticity. But the flavors were really good, a lot of different tastes and textures with every mouthful. The place doesn't look like much but it has a couple of tables if you want to eat on site, which we did. Much of the business seems to be takeout. Service was great.

It is what it is. I asked for no meat. I have learned that is not possible. Price also does not change. But it was tasty. Have To give them credit for that.

I've had better but still decent. The amount of vegetable soup that I got was quite shameful.

I placed an order over the phone for Efo and waited over 30 minutes only to be lied to, claiming twice my order was ready…. Only to be IGNORED when I came into the restaurant. I am disappointed in the customer service and may it be a lesson, regardless of what is in a person’s order they should all be serviced the same with exceptional, professional quality service!

I had the opportunity to visit African Palace Restaurant. I couldn’t believe the amount of selections were offered on the menus. The food took a while to arrive but there were plenty of people in the restaurant and lively conversations so waiting wasn’t a problem. On my next visit I will call my order ahead. The waitstaff was very patience in explaining various dishes. I was dining with two men from the continent of Africa which helped me make my selection. All in all the food was delightful and very much authentic. The restaurant was clean with ample meter parking. They do a tremendous carry out business. I would go back again when I’m in the neighborhood. I would recommend the Pepper Chicken and Jollof Rice. The fried fish takes an extra 15 minutes.

If you haven’t tried African Food Palace, you’re missing out! The food is bursting with flavors. Lady C passion shines through in every dish. I love the plantains! The service is just as fantastic—Lady c and her team make you feel super comfortable. For amazing food and heartfelt hospitality, African Food Palace is a must-visit. Keep shining! Bonus, they are also super involved in the community which I really appreciate and respect.

HORRIBLE! AS A REVIEWER WITH OVER 540K VIEWS. I WOULD NEVER RECOMMEND RECOMMEND THIS PLACE TO NOBODY AT ALL. THIS IS THE WORST REVIEW IVE EVER HAD TO MAKE. I SHOULD HAVE CHOSEN MC DONALDS OVER THIS PLACE. AS I WENT IN I NOTICED VARIOUS POTS OF FOOD UNCOVERED ON A STOVE. I ALREADY CALLED AHEAD AND PLACED MY ORDER. I WAS VERY DISAPPOINTED TO SEE THE FOOD NOT COVERED. AS IM STILL WAITING IM GROSSED OUT TO WHERE I LITERALLY LOSE MY APETITE. FLIES WERE FLYING ALL AROUND THE RESTAURANT, I IMMEDIATELY THOUGHT ABOUT THE UNCOVERED FOOD. I DID NOT SEE ONE PERSON COOKING FOOD AT ALL. NO STEAM ARRISING NOBODY COOKED IN MY FACE I CAN DEFINITELY SAY THAT. THE FOOD IS ALREADY COOKED AND THEY JUST MAKE THE PLATES AND HEAT IT NACK UP. I ORDERES BEEF STEW WITH JOLLOF RICE. WHEN I GOT MY ORDER I WAS SO SHOCKED AND FRUSTRATED TO SEE ONLY 3 VERY SMALL PIECES OF MET AND A WHOLE BUNCH OF RICE. MY PLATE COSTED ALMOST $20 DOLLARS. THIS IS HORRIBLE AND RICE IS CHEAP! DONT GO TO THIS PLACE ITS JUST A WASTE OF MONEY COMPLETELY. THE HEALTH DEPARTMENT SHOULD BE VISITING THIS PLACE! THE MEAT WAS VERY TOUGH AND HARD TO CHEW. THIS PLACE NEEDS TO BE SHUT DOWN AND IN VERY INSULTING TO REAL AFRICAN RESTAURANTS.

I have been ordering from lady c for years. She’s a wonderful human inside and out. We have done community events, catered parties and dined in as well. She’s very accommodating and takes such pride in her food, her ingredients and her culture. 11 out of 10. I’ll be back soon! Pictured here is a small amount of her always generous okra stew ?

Vegetarian options: Let them know you are vegetarian and they will offer things to fit your diet.

Parking: Parking in front is paid, but it’s not expensive. Also parking on 89th street is free. (East/west street) and she’s a short walk from the corner

Wheelchair accessibility: No step to enter!

I got the jollof rice with oxtail and it was delicious. I also really liked the familial and welcoming vibe of the place. I will definitely be returning.
