I used to visit Alonti Cafe downtown while working almost every week - I hated that they closed the cafes and now only cater!! I was going to call and place an order for food but just saw a review where someone wanted to order for their family and were told they could only place an order if they were a company! Does it matter who orders and pays for it?? Its still business...maybe there's something preventing that? Anyway, would love for you guys to open a cafe/restaurant again - clearly we are missing the food!

Alonti did a great job catering a 2-day event. They work with small and larger orders, the food was excellent, and they made the whole process extremely easy, which is key. I would recommend them to anyone in the Chicago area with catering needs.

I don't know what happened to this place used to be very delicious but this is the 3 (third) time I have ordered from them and my food has been horrible. I ordered a Tuscan turkey on focaccia I got a regular sub roll that was hard as a ROCK for the third time the sandwiches Cost too much to be as horrible as they are I would never spend my money here again.NEVER

When I worked in downtown alonti was one of my favorite restaurant I use to go to. The food was always great sandwiches, pasta. Soups, salads. The only thing that disappointing that they have no more restaurants to eat at and they only have catering and so I tried to place a order for myself and family I was asked what com. I said no com she said only com. I was not a happy camper with this info. Open restaurant again!!!!

Today I had the Veggie patty melt. OMG it was amazing! Lots of cheese and a little spicy. Don't let the veggie patty fool you into believing it won't be enough to make you full. My belly is full and satisfied and it's poking out.
