Al's on TAYLOR has terrific beef. Different than Johnnie's but equally excellent. No other Al's tastes like the original on Taylor; don't waste your time or money at any of the franchise stores. In warm months awesome Italian ice across the street.
This place has the best food in Chicago.
Who knew beef could be so flavorful (get the Italian Beef dipped with sweet and hot peppers).
I also appreciate how they didn't have a bathroom to wash hands and gave us wet paper towels instead.

I love Als beef! I usually come here after band practice, at Smash Studios. It's delicious, and obviously famous. Clean, friendly staff, restaurant parking, food is great and very quick. I felt bad the other day since I came there like 30 minutes before closing, so here is your five star for the trouble : )
