Al's Italian beef is a decent beef option in Chicago. Not the best beef in the Chicagoland area and also about twice the cost of Johnnie's Beef. Better than Portillos but not the best. Good french fries.
My 2 sons and I paid over 55.00 for e sandwiches fries and Pepsi's. After drinking my 20 oz pepsi with mostly ice they charged me 1.50 for a refill, huge mistake. We also all left still hungry. Meals appear much larger in pictures compared to when you get them acually in front of you. Will never go back.
It’s a Chicago thing and I’m glad my buddies took me there to experience a taste of Chicago. The meat is seasoned well and the bread is slightly soggy from the juices. The combo makes for a delicious delicacy
