Good restaurant. Can be pretty loud. Love the food, very fresh and full of flavors. It would be nice to have plain bread/rice to cut out the different flavors from each dishes. Go without worry!

Booked this for my birthday and they didn't do anything for it--not even a little dessert. Went ignored. Was also so hot and there was no ac. the water was kept out, not in a fridge, so i had to continually ask for ice when it was 95 degrees out. The food was good but we were suffering so bad we couldn't even think about ordering their hot entrees we just stuck w apps and drinks. I think the service team was really trying but clearly has poor management overseeing it all.

Absolutely outstanding. My wife and I keep a mental list of our Top 5 meals of all time. Having dined together for over 30 years, Amaru has rocketed onto the list. The food was amazing, service was beyond exceptional. We will be back (again and again).

Everything we ordered was delicious, but the standouts were the Solterito, the Andean carrots, the pernil and the lomo. The corn cake dessert was also fantastic. Pay them a visit, you will not regret it!

Food is incredibly good. Servers are some of the best and most passionate in chicago

The food was decent. They added 20% to the bill but the waitress asked for more because it went to the restaurant. Which we didn't mind bc she was good. But we ended up paying a 40% tip which was disappointing and unexpected.

Honestly I was mind blown, the food is life changing. Food, service, atmosphere were all 10/10. I can’t wait to come again.

One of best happy hour food and drink options! Delicious and tasty food, and great drinks. Very reasonably priced.

Phenomenal foods and drinks with options for all dietary types. Our server Paola made the night even better and didn't steer us wrong with food/drink recommendations! If you go, absolutely get the pina colada (virgin or with alcohol) and the sweet plantains. the coconut fried rice is also divine.

I wanted to like this place. Husband and I love Latin food and unfortunately we will not be returning. Nothing was horrible however nothing was great either. Food presentation was really pretty, taste was very bland. The drinks were also bland. We had the Inca salad (most flavorful), ceviche (a slice of raw fish on a bed of cucumber- the least flavorful), octopus (one very small tentacle- flavorful however small and did not care for the beans it came with), oxtail (shredded with potato stuffed ravioli- just ok), and pernil (also just ok). We didn't finish any of our plates and left dissatisfied. Drinks - flat soda in mojito and Caipirinha was sweet which was different. Also did not enjoy. Service was good, attentive.

Great date night spot. Had their special cocktail for the night, and it paired well with everything. Food was fresh, hot, quick, and delicious! Would like to go back and try more options :)

Very interesting selection of focusing on Latin American dishes in a tapas type setting. Very pleasant staff and service.
