One of the best dining experiences I have had. Everything was incredibly fresh, well-crafted, creative, and flavorful. The atmosphere was very trendy and our server Jeffrey was super nice and helpful. I will return.

I am a person that is knowledgeable on food. I make pasta from scratch all the time and can cook anything and make anything from scratch. Been wanting to go to Amaru for a little while now because have only heard good things from reading several articles. I took a date there and we ordered 4 things 1 of which was totally forgotten. Bacon wrapped plantains came out the bacon was under and the plantains were legitimately cold in the middle. The beet salad was good but that is supposed to be cold. The lions mane mushroom dish, the mushrooms had great flavor and they were great but the mole was cold on the dish and the broccolini was also undercooked some parts borderline raw in the middle. Octopus dish never got brought out, at that point we mutually decided to not let the server aware of this because we just wanted to leave. I am always good to hospitality workers because I used to work in the space way back, but in general I won't go back because my first impression was so bad.

Overall Thoughts: I went to Amaru for 2024 Restaurant Week, and it had lovely vibes, solid food, and friendly service all around. My friends and I got the cheaper $42 dinner option and felt the value was good— we were stuffed and satisfied afterwards. Out of all 3 courses, the dessert was definitely the weakest, but I really enjoyed the other two courses!- Course 1: Requeson (4.6/5): The soft cheese was delicious; it was creamy and slightly sweet, pairing nicely with the slightly spiced salsa.- Course 2: Mole Y Leon (4.5/5): This was my first time having lion’s mane mushroom, and it was great! The texture was stringy and chewy, and the seared flavors were strong. The yuca was crispy and tasty, and the mole was rich and earthy.- Course 3- Espresso Tres Leches (4/5): Definitely lacking relative to the other two dishes; the cake wasn’t moist enough in my opinion, and the flavor was kind of monotonous.—Price (relative to peers): 4.2/5Food: 4.4/5Ambience: 4.9/5Overall Value: 4.5/5

Got lucky and found a spot at the bar where we received the best service and had a delicious meal! Everything tasted extremely fresh and the unique combinations in each dish were incredible. Made us want to be on vacation in Latin America!@

What a fantastic bar. Went for some cocktails after a long week and the cocktails were fantastic, and the bar staff even better. Thoroughly enjoyed my experience and can’t recommend it enough.

Fantastic food—our table of 4 shared multiple dishes from every section of the menu and could not decide which we liked best! A few favorites included the Requeson (Spanish soft cheese with salsa matcha and chili honey served with toasted strips of sourdough), Mole y Leon (lion's mane mushrooms in black mole), Cuban oxtail with goat cheese ravioli, and the Floridita Key Lime (a sort of “deconstructed” key lime pie that was fabulous!)! And the service was great, too. We definitely will be back.

The hostess immediately told us upon our being seated that we had 90 minutes at the table. There was no mention of that when we made the reservation. It was such a rude way to be greeted for what was supposed to be a memorable birthday dinner. We ordered one drink and an appetizer and left.

Our server was also the bartender. We received our drinks 30 minutes after ordering them. The food was good but the menu is only available on a QR app. All other restaurants have at least a few printed menus. Most have gone away from the QR app.

Everything we had was PHENOMENAL! This place is a hidden gem. I've been by so many times, but it wasn't until I read all of the reviews that I was intrigued. Definitely a must go to!

Food was absolutely amazing. We had the market fish, the pulpo, and the pork shoulder. Everything was cooked perfectly and the sauce/veggie selection complimented the proteins wonderfully. The wait staff was helpful and knowledgeable and the kitchen got food out extremely quickly despite being one of the busiest days of the year. The crème brûlée was the perfect end to an incredible meal.

Very good food! Every dish was jam packed with flavor. The cocktails were good. The service was also top notch. We got the Piononos, sweet plantains, Pernil, and Adobo NY strip. I don't think I could pick a favorite if I tried.
