We to AMBAR as a treat from friends picking up their while they were on vacation and what a great treat it was. If you like traditional Balkan dishes, you will love AMBAR. With their small plates offering, it makes for great time trying and sharing an array of Balkan dishes. It will be well worth a return to explore their menu more. Of course, their freshly baked and warm breads will be repeated. The room can be bit loud thus a little conversation challenging.

Very happy to have found this restaurant. When I saw Balkan food, it immediately caught my attention. We had the experience for $55 where we could order anything from the menu. We were very satisfied; the food is very tasty, everything was delicious.
The restaurant is open and full of greenery, and the staff is super friendly and helpful.

We came here for brunch and had such a lovely experience. The food was delicious, fresh, and beautifully presented. The atmosphere was relaxed and perfect for a weekend brunch.

We went for the dinner buffet, and wouldn’t say it’s worth the price. The seafood especially was terrible and not well-prepared, did not taste fresh at all. The salmon was mushy and tasted awful we threw it out immediately because we probably would’ve gotten sick otherwise. The mussels were grainy and tasted very fishy, one of the worst mussels I’ve had at a restaurant. The branzino was also very fishy and a little tough. The shrimp was okay though. As for non-seafood items, the other meat was a lot better. We liked the steak, the lamb medallions, and the kebab - those were flavorful. The roast lamb and beef goulash had some fatty hard to chew parts though, so not great but flavor was good. The croquette also had a frozen piece inside. I wonder if they were rushing or not preparing things properly. My impression is that many of these items are frozen and reheated - which they don’t even do well. They need to ensure more food quality checks and better food prep. Service was also a little slower, the male waiter we had was great but one of the female waitresses and the hostess we had were a bit rude. The vibe in the restaurant was beautiful though, so it’s a shame we probably won’t come back based on our experience.

Selected for friend’s birthday who wanted to try the unlimited tasting menu. Bullshit policy of no unlimited at 9:45 reservation without ever suggesting or displaying that was the case.. server was more concerned with telling us what we could NOT do and made no effort to address concerns. Since we were unable to sample a wide variety of your food, (due to misleading reservations) we had five choices from ala Carte. Three were good to failed. Very lax management, never touched a table near us, let alone ours. Therefore, we will not be back I will put this on Google because I am pissed with this experience. I would avoid it.
