When I'm in the area, I like to drop in. I appreciate the different flavors crammed into the little rice balls! The arancini, without the sauces, is still out of sight. But the fact that there's a separate sauce for EACH ONE is phenomenal and really kicks up the flavors! I've had them all, and I would do any first time reader/ visitor a disservice to choose a favorite. You can't go wrong, so give the flight a try! During my last visit I was given a taste of a side of veggies and I commented on the seasoning. The owner (a very genuine and kind man) gave me a small container of his own seasoning for me to try at home. 🥹 as someone who LOVES to cook, this gesture is don't take lightly. I will continue visiting Amici as long as Alfi will have us! ❤️

I will ALWAYS come see him when I'm in Chicago! The food is amazing, from the corn and pasta salad to the multiple arancinis. The restaurant is lovely and the employees and owner are awesome! Alfio, aka Dad, is the best man I know! This will always be a recommendation to ANYONE I know going to Chicago🫶🏽

Had to come here right before we left Chicago if your looking to try some new food this is the place the food is so good and the location of the restaurant is so small and humble definitely will have to come back!
Parking: There is a lot across the street you could actually park at if needed.

Food came out super quick , a nice clean little, quick bite to eat. I tried the jerk and it did not need any extra jerk sauce. Crispy and a nice clean finish. This was a Satisfying meal but you have to try more than 1 of the options.
Parking: Paid Street parking , you have to get in where you fit in. Do not park in any lots near the establishment, you car will get towed or booted.
Kid-friendliness: It’s a small place where there are tables and chairs for kids and adults to relax and eat in peace.

I first went to Amici on Friday and arrived at 11:30 because the website said it opened at 11:30. The door stated open at 12 noon. So I went elsewhere. The 2nd time I went to Amici was Saturday and stood in line with about 20+ people for about 40 minutes to get in the door. Once I got in the door, placed the order, paid, the food took about 5 minutes to get. The good: The Doro Aracini was delish. It came with the side pasta salad which was the best pasta salad ever. There needs to be a bigger dish of just the pasta salad. The prices are reasonable. The bad: The restaurant needs to have online or call-in orders. That way you wouldn't have anyone standing in line for 40 minutes. The website needs to be re-vised to title the dishes that flash onscreen. The business has become so successful he probably needs more workers. I would also suggest that he have the sides already made and packaged and in the front case so that if (I) want just the salads, the cashier can grab the salads instead of placing an order to the kitchen and having the customer wait.
