Amtrak Metropolitan Lounge offers a more relaxing and comfortable experience than the main train hall. Accessible with a pass from a sleeping car ticket or day pass purchase, the lounge provides self-serve beverages and snacks with an upper level available. The lounge is very large, with many comfy chairs, tables, and plenty of outlets and charging ports to work or relax. It features a quiet, spacious upstairs area, along with TVs and a clean, well-stocked environment managed by helpful staff. Snacks and hot and cold drinks (except milk) are complimentary, and bathrooms and showers are available for those who need to freshen up. Storage racks for luggage are in a separate room. This lounge is a great place to wait for a train, especially for long layovers, early arrivals, or after a long trip. The staff is courteous and attentive, contributing to an overall excellent experience.
