Best place in Chicago for breakfast. Whether you want the Swedish pancakes with Lingonberries or my favorite; Salmon Dill Omelet, you must order a side of their famous Cinnamon Rolls.

Famous cinnamon rolls? Sure, but overrated and sticky-sweet 🍥😅. Classic Swedish menu is comforting, but some dishes are bland and prices feel high for what you get 💸. Weekend waits are brutal, and service can be slow when busy ⏳. Go if you really want the rolls, otherwise skip.

Have gone here a couple times no issues, recently have went and sat down for a meal before class. After I paid, a server/waiter who wasn’t assigned to me yells at me regarding tipping and then proceeds to harass me and chase me out of the establishment yelling at me and calling me a bunch of names and absurdities, is this the treatment customers deserve after paying and having a nice meal?

A good friend of mine took me to Ann Sather Restaurant Sunday morning. I took one drink of the coffee and it wasn't drinkable. It had an odd and irregular flavor. I had scrambled eggs which were over cooked without a trace of milk in them. The country ham was such a small, thin portion with plenty of fat. Regrettably, I was thoroughly disappointed
with the food.

* We were at the Belmont location. The only thing we mentioned to the waiter was that the coffee was undrinkable and asked to have it removed from our bill, which he did. When our plates we're cleared, I was asked if I wanted a to-go container because most of my food was untouched. I said no because it was busy and I didn't want to make a fuss. It certainly isn't as good as it used to be.

Delicious, hearty meals in a really beautiful space.

The coffee absolutely impressed me.
I was expecting the classic diner coffee but it’s really clear someone cares about their beans. On the way out I noticed they sell bags of their coffee beans and I’ll definitely be back for a some.

This place is always packed and for good reason! The food is excellent. Just be aware it’s a bit loud in there when they’re at capacity.

Seems like the cinnamon rolls were smaller. Hadn't been in a while, but they were still good.

So very delicious and great service. Food came out fast too! Swedish meatballs & lingonberry sauce were so flavorful. The pancakes were the perfect texture. The biscuit were warm and fluffy, with the right amount of crunch. Bring your sweet tooth and don’t skip cinnamon rolls!! All around smorgasbord of flavor in my mouth. Will be back.

For us this quickly became THE breakfast spot. Great food, great service, and the opportunity to get two cinnamon rolls as a side is outstanding.
