Been meaning to try this place for awhile, and then absolutely had to after the tragic car-through-their-window incident. The food was sooo good! And everyone who works there is invested in the restaurant's continued success. So glad we went!
Excellent Italian food, service, and wine list. I really liked the atmosphere and decor.

Had an absolutely lovely dinner here with my parent's. The food (especially the dishes marked as favorites) was just delicious. It was a quiet atmosphere with music at just the right volume. Highly recommend.
The food is outstanding. Their waiters are very attentive. Great wines.

This is the best Italian food I’ve had in Chicago. Hands down. I grew up in an Italian immigrant community and have been looking for food that reminds me of everything I ate as a kid. This is it. Don’t be scared by the old decor, or quiet atmosphere. This food will knock you off your feet.

The food was excellent, the service was average at best. We were in a semi private room but the dish bins were by our table and the bus people would literally throw the dishes in the bins with no regard to dinner guests sitting there, We were also by an iPad or phone system that literally beeped all night. I would come back for the food but request to sit somewhere else!
We arrived at 430 for a pre-Cubs game meal. We started off with cocktails, a Makers Manhattan and a French Martini. Both were excellent. We had the navy bean and escarole soup which was hearty and warm on a cold evening. We then had the burrata which was wonderful. We both had pastas. I had the special linguini with shrimp and broccoli in a wine sauce and my wife had farfalle with mushrooms and peas. Both were generous portions. We had a wonderful bottle of white wine from Sardinia. For dessert I had vanilla gelato and my wife had the tiramisu. We were there an hour and a half. The meal was well paced. There is a 10% discount if you pay cash. I highly recommend this restaurant.
Went for dinner and had to leave after the appetizer, the place ways empty at dinner time on a weekend night. We ordered espresso martinis which were watery and not made correctly. We ordered the bruschetta to start, the bread was flavorless and disintegrated while eating it. Based off of the pricing and experience of the food and staff thus far, we decided to finish our drinks and leave. Maybe we ordered wrong? Cannot recommend.

The dinner was good. But not great. The marinara sauce had no flavor at all. And when we got the check there was 30% gratuity automatically added. We questioned it and they said that it just happens sometimes.
Amazing! Good was absolutely perfect. I haven't had pollo Vesuvio this good since my grandmother was alive 30 years ago. We will definitely be back!

pasta served hot and the sauces were delicious. i had the fruta de mar, my sister had the penne with chicken and broccoli, and my son had bolognese. all were good, hot, delicious. the tiramisu is delectable, we shared it
This was a really cute date night that we did. The atmosphere and everything else about the setting and tableware was fantastic. It was quite cramped and very loud. But a lovely evening overall! However I did feel like it was a tad bit pricey and smaller portions than I preferred. However if you want an elegant place, great lighting and cute tableware. This is your place! If you'd like a cheaper more affordable option with larger quantities I would keep looking.

I had not been to Anna Maria for many years and, frankly, did not expect it to be a great experience, but to my surprise it really was! The service was friendly and attentive, the room was quiet so we could hear each other speak, and the pastas were delicious. In this day and age when it is hard to find a quiet restaurant with great food and service, Anna Maria really stands out. I look forward to returning the next time I'm in Chicago.
