I tried Annapurna food for the first time because I heard the food is good and flavorful but this was my worst experience. I ordered masala dosa and khasta kachori chaat but it was horrible and bad quality. I m very disappointed. Please improve your quality and flavors again as it used to be.

Stopped by for a couple mango lassis. The girl working was not friendly- and it felt like the place was closed even though it was the middle of the afternoon on a Saturday.
Thought we would get fresh beverages but no, we were given drinks that had been sitting and were warm! Ended up tossing them out when we left.
The place was not clean! It desperately needed to have countertops and tables wiped off and sanitized, and the floor was another matter- even worse.
Can’t say I will return based on this impression.

I had a very disappointing experience at this restaurant. The service is extremely poor and the staff behave very rudely with customers. They don’t know how to talk properly or provide basic hospitality. On top of that, the food quality is not up to the mark and definitely not worth the money. I expected a pleasant dining experience, but instead, I left feeling frustrated and dissatisfied. I would not recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for good service and quality food.
I just ordered a Pav Bhaji. They charged me $14 for it and look at the quantity they gave me. The box was very tiny as if they gave me a salad in a container and not pav bhaji. I mean if you are charging me this much amount then why the quantity wasn’t there. On top of that look at the tax what they are charging. There is not a single restaurant in the whole Illinois who charges you this kind of tax what Annapurna charged me. I have the pic attached of the receipt. They charged me a Takeout/phone 2.50% - $0.30 and also another charge was Credit Card Surcharge (3.00%) $0.37 and on top of that they charged me tax which was $1.34. I mean if you charging me with all this then atleast give me a better quantity first.
I would never give this place even 1 star rating if google allows me to but I have to select a star so I selected 1 star.
Every dosa they make is good, they just do not miss. I also appreciate the sugarless chai, as I limit my sugar intake. Friendly staff too :) best veg south indian food, i live all the way in bridgeport but I make the time to come here because it’s worth it for the delicious food.

Lady who serves live pani puri is rude and makes different faces to customers. Seems like she is lazy for her job.

The customer service could be much better. The lady who serves pani puri is consistently rude, never smiles, and talks in an unfriendly way with everyone. It really takes away from the dining experience. Manager, please consider re-training her so customers feel welcomed and respected.

Probably the worst food on Devon Ave — and that’s saying something, because Devon has seen some things. How they’re still in business? Beats me. The chaat was so watery I almost brought a straw. The dosa came stuffed with random peppers instead of masala, like some cruel prank from a chef who lost a bet. Honestly, you’re better off grabbing a $2 pani puri kit from the grocery store next door and DIY-ing it in your kitchen — blindfolded — and it would still taste better. After three tries over the last four years, I think the universe is telling me to give up… and I finally listened.

I ordered lassi and dosa. The lassi was overly sweet and seemed to have food colouring added. The dosa was served without red chutney, which was out of stock. The coconut chutney was watery. The quality and taste used to be much better here, but unfortunately, it’s not the same anymore.

Surprised they charged 3% surcharges on Credit Card payment.
Not worth for money. Tiny little paani poori 6numbers $8.5 is not worthy at all (I ordered 2 plates of paani poori for $17). They are not preparing the poori they are buy it from Walmart (I could see Great Value cover). Poori were not crispy only. When I asked why the poori size is too tiny than usual. Staff didn’t respond to that question reasonably instead avoided the question. I really don’t understand quantity, quality versus price of the product. Definitely they should be generous and reduce the cost to half. Not worth more than that. But taste was really good.
