I dropped by for dinner a few months ago on a whim. It was quite packed inside but I was able to get a seat at the bar. I ordered the cauliflower salad, the lamb stew, and a citrus flavored cake and they were all quite good. The servers were friendly and knew the menu well. Portions were not very big for the price and the lamb could have used some bread or carb to anchor it. My first serving of lamb had a few fatty pieces and when I mentioned this, they were kind enough to bring a few more pieces out for me. Overall, it was a good meal and service was top notch.

Excellent food, great Italian spot. Loud environment, but a fun room to be a part of on a busy night.
Anteprima is a lovely little spot with delicious food, but I felt as if my table was shoehorned into a line with other diners, and my companion and I literally were yelling at each other to be heard during the entire meal. Looking at the ceiling, you can tell that they've tried to do something about the noise level, but there's only so much you can do when you've got every square inch filled with people. I wouldn't want to dissuade anyone from eating there, but be prepared for a noisy room.

The service was excellent. Our server was knowledgeable and attentive. The food was fresh and flavorful. We had the orchiette with spicy lamb sausage and the Chianti braised beef. We loved both. The desserts were also delicious. We had the tiramisu and the carrot cake. I highly recommend that you come here for a wonderful culinary experience.
This restaurant is ideal for a romantic date or celebrating a special event. Menu choices are very good, servers are very knowledgeable, professional, and congenial. Reservations are needed, but I am sure they will accommodate walk-ins when possible.

This is a really great place that has great food. It's not an overly formal setting like some snobby white tablecloth places. The quality of the food and service is on par with those other snobby, formal places.
We had the calamari, focaccia, beet salad, braised beef and a couple other things. Everything was top quality. The braised beef was a perfect bit of comfort food with the smooth mashed potatoes and brussel sprouts. We had a reservation on the heated and covered patio and we loved it.
We will definitely return next time were in the area. If you're going on a Friday or Saturday I would recommend making a reservation.

Always a treat to visit AntePrima. So friendly. So neighborhoodie. Like a visit to a friend's home for a lovingly cooked meal. Excellent but no need for flash or brag.

Went here for a Saturday night date, didn't realize it was restaurant week when we reserved. Nice surprise! Was very busy and tight, but cute. Service was great, food was good. Pretty pricey for a louder atmosphere, but I would eat here again. And that's a sign of a good place.
Our food was delicious - well prepared and flavorful. I really enjoyed the chicken meatballs (perfectly spiced), seared salmon(cooked to order with the right amount of farro and butternut squash), and taramisu (made and served in a ramekin). My wife's griddled polenta with slow-cooked greens was also excellent. Unfortunately, while she did enjoy the creaminess of the mushroom risotto, she thought that it was a bit bland. Similarly, the hazelnut tort also seemed to be missing something. That being said, our overall experience was wonderful due to the attentive and unobtrusive service and pleasant ambiance. We will definitely return to sample some of the other offerings.
Anteprima is amazing. I appreciate the staffs and managers kindness to me even though I have autism and their food is amazing and really good. Owner Marty is very nice. The restaurant is in good condition. Fantastic Al fresco and great pici carbonara. Must come back. 10/10.
We had the pre fix menu for Andersonville Restaurant Week. Everything was excellent. The cocktails were good as well. For dessert we had the chocolate hazelnut torte (the crust was too hard, would not get this again) but the lemon pannacotta, was wonderful. It was a busy night and a bit loud, but we would definitely come here again.
Perfect authentic Italian dinner
