Had a reservation for 8pm, got there and they made us wait in just the middle of the walkway in the back patio. The whole front of the house was empty, bar, tables, everything. After we got sat at 8:45 the server gave us water and then left. Another 20 minutes went by, so we just decided to leave. The food might be good, but I guess we'll never know. We were on the corner making plans for somewhere else, and someone came out looking for us 10 minutes after we had walked through the place and left. No apology, nothing. Go at your own risk.
Parking: I'd like to know why they wouldn't sit anyone in the completely empty front of house.

Servers, chefs, front of house - everyone here demonstrates that they care about what they do, and make the experience of being in their space special. The sausage with mostarda and cabbage is such a profound delicacy that I learned how to make mostarda and called the restaurant to ask what type of sausage they used so I could try and recreate it because it left a lasting impression.
I had a very special day with my mom and took her here, and it gave me profound joy to share how unique and comforting all the dishes are, and the patio in the back is such a special relaxing place. Watching her relish the food made my night.
Antico should be on everyone's list of date spots and intimate dining establishments. May be my favorite restaurant in the city.
The brown butter sage gnocchi provides the closest physical experience to being converted into a divine being of light.

Ummmm.... whaaaat??? This place absolutely blew our minds. We came here for our anniversary, and it was the best dining experience we've had in Chicago. From start to finish, you could tell these people are passionate about what they do here. Service was incredible, each course was delicious and beautifully plated, and it punches waaaaayyyyy above it's weight class in terms of cost. The chef has clearly spent a lot of time in Italy. We've been to Italy a lot, and this place is the closest I've found to the real thing. Run, don't walk, to Antico!

I've been coming to Antico for over a decade now, and I also don't like to leave 5-star reviews, but they've earned every single one.
It's the quintessential neighborhood restaurant, the space is charming, the food is great *and* consistent, and the staff is always lovely.
Recently I needed to host an event for ~70 people, and for a number of reasons, it had to be at Antico. They executed the food perfectly, and I received compliments on how the team was so proactive in filling drinks and making sure food was passed around.
I'm so glad this place is a 3-block walk from home; it's a veritable gem of Bucktown.

An underrated essential neighborhood Italian spot! Love the wine list and the great service – it's perfect for a last-minute date night reservation. The back patio has those authentic Italian vibes that make it extra special. Highlights for us were the cured meat, olives, and polenta to start, and the brown butter sage gnocchi was just *chef's kiss*.

I cannot say enough good things about Antico! The service was very attentive and prompt. We sat on the patio, which was lovely. The food was incredibly fresh and flavorful. Many of the herbs used could be seen growing in planters on the patio! The scallops and brown butter gnocchi were the best I’ve ever had. This place is truly special - we’ll be back for sure!

Our first time dining here and we will be back for sure! The restaurant is adorable and the back patio is just so cozy. The homemade gnocchi is a must! The service was amazing and they were very patient with us, as we had a young child with us. Everything we ordered you could tell was homemade in house! So fresh and just quality cooking from the chef! Highly recommend!!!

We had a great experience at Antico! We sat on the back patio on a rainy day and it was a great atmosphere. My boyfriend and I split the caprese salad for an appetizer and it was delicious! Next we tried the gnocchi with San marzano tomatoes and it was amazing! The gnocchi was house made and the tomatoes were such high quality. Lastly, we ordered the filet but given that this was an Italian restaurant, we should have stuck to true Italian dishes. Overall we had a great experience at antico and would return!
