One of the best Thai food you’d taste in Chicago. Pad garlic and spicy chili paste is to die for!!!

2nd time this month to Aroy Thai lol. It was so good the first time so I came back with more friends to try out more dishes. Really enjoyed the boat noodles, sticky rice with crispy beef, pumpkin curry (super hood for for fall!), and as always the banana sticky rice. Food is impressive as always with not long of a waiting time given how busy they were on a Saturday night. Service is as friendly as usual. Again a must have for Thai!!

Nowhere on the website or google maps does it mention that they close at reopen at 4pm. Walked here for nothing

My friend and I had a papaya salad for the first time and it was so good! Refreshing and spicy. Even though we’re not the biggest fans of papaya we liked this dish a lot.
We also got the crab rangoon which were delicious!
My friend got the red curry with chicken and I got pad see-ew noodles with chicken. Both dishes were delicious. The Thai iced tea and coffee were also *chefs kiss*.
We honestly couldn’t have asked for better customer service. Our waitress was very kind and attentive to us despite having multiple tables. She always made sure we had enough water and the owner even came out to ask us how the food was. You can tell they really care about their customers and their experience at their establishment.
They are cash only, but they do have an ATM inside.
We definitely will be coming back and trying more dishes ❤️.

My go-to Thai restaurant in the city (and I’ve ordered from MANY). Consistent quality every time.

Ordered lunch from here a few times for work. We've done a family style array the last few times. Chicken satay is always a hit, egg rolls and spring rolls are great, love the pad garlic, the pad ke Mao, and the basil leaves. Honestly, everything is good.

Ask numerous times about gluten free options. They assured me the meal was gluten free. I enjoyed my meal so much I went back a few days later. Ordered the same meal and they said that CAN’T be made gluten free! Definitely not a safe place to eat if you have celiac.

Very authentic Thai food. The flavor profiles were varied and complex. Bring cash if you are dining in.

Sorry, but the distinctive stinging pain and itchiness was definitely present while at the restaurant. Maybe your inquiry will quietly make the scent bead user(s) discontinue their use, in which case the air quality will improve. If the air quality does improve and the stinging pain goes away, I will at that point delete this review. After users discontinue Gain scent beads, it takes several weeks for indoor air quality to go back to normal.

Food is ok 👍, but the owner or maybe employees here use Gain scent beads in their clothes, and this causes extreme nerve pain and itchiness when you breathe in the toxic indoor air here. We used to go here a lot but no more, due to Gain scent beads. It creates extremely toxic indoor air.

The heat scale is from 1-5. I had read a review that #3 was like fire. So we got #1. You could see all the red pepper flakes in it. It was way too hot!!! We couldn't eat it. I've had Thai food all over Chicago, never had this problem. I bet many customers don't return for this reason. They need to learn what mild means if they want to stay open.
