Great and amazing taste
Real Thai flavor even if is bit too pricey and I wish they had lunch special. Would have even more customers frequently coming in ($12.95 lunches)

From the moment we walked in, the hospitality was outstanding. The owner personally made sure we were seated right away and checked in throughout our visit to ensure we were enjoying ourselves—even after the meal was over. That level of care really stood out.

The service was fantastic. Our server was friendly, attentive, and made the experience effortless. Every dish we tried was excellent, but the Crying Tiger is absolutely to die for—packed with flavor and perfectly prepared.

Aroy Thai isn’t just great food, it’s a great experience. You can tell they genuinely care about their guests. We will definitely be coming back and highly recommend this spot to anyone looking for incredible Thai food in Chicago.

I’ve been going to Aroy Thai on Damen for awhile now, although the food is good, they are a bit overpriced, and sometimes the service isn’t good, they only take cash, the place is small, and parking is very hard to find in that area, right next to the Damen L Stop. I’m glad I found a better alternative at BANGKOK THAI CUISINE 😁 on Lincoln near McCormick (next to Wing Stop). The food is delicious, the prices are great & so is the service (very nice family owned). Check it out, and you probably won’t go back to Aroy

Delivery was earlier than quoted. Tom Kha soup was ok. Basil chicken was so salty it was almost inedible. Never had such salty Thai food. Will NOT be ordering from here again.

A cozy cash-only Thai spot located near Lincoln Square. Service was quick and friendly. The boat noodles were comforting overall, although the broth leaned a bit sweeter than expected and the rice noodles were a tad too soft.

2nd time this month to Aroy Thai lol. It was so good the first time so I came back with more friends to try out more dishes. Really enjoyed the boat noodles, sticky rice with crispy beef, pumpkin curry (super hood for for fall!), and as always the banana sticky rice. Food is impressive as always with not long of a waiting time given how busy they were on a Saturday night. Service is as friendly as usual. Again a must have for Thai!!

Nowhere on the website or google maps does it mention that they close at reopen at 4pm. Walked here for nothing

My friend and I had a papaya salad for the first time and it was so good! Refreshing and spicy. Even though we’re not the biggest fans of papaya we liked this dish a lot.
We also got the crab rangoon which were delicious!
My friend got the red curry with chicken and I got pad see-ew noodles with chicken. Both dishes were delicious. The Thai iced tea and coffee were also *chefs kiss*.
We honestly couldn’t have asked for better customer service. Our waitress was very kind and attentive to us despite having multiple tables. She always made sure we had enough water and the owner even came out to ask us how the food was. You can tell they really care about their customers and their experience at their establishment.
They are cash only, but they do have an ATM inside.
We definitely will be coming back and trying more dishes ❤️.

My go-to Thai restaurant in the city (and I’ve ordered from MANY). Consistent quality every time.
