Love this plane. We return here every time we are in Chicago. The healthiest and most delicious food. They are so kind and care so much!

Just had a lunch at Arya Bhavan and it was chef’s kiss perfect. Went with the chole bhature combo—big, fluffy bhature and spicy, hearty chole. Also had a masala chai to wash it down. Everything was vegan, gluten-free, and packed with flavor. The vibe is low-key, the staff is super friendly, and the food is fresh and satisfying. If you’re craving real-deal Indian without the dairy, this spot’s a must-try.

The samosas here were good but the curry was under spiced and butter and borderline inedible, I couldn't even finish mine. My fiance and I got Malai Kofta and organic tofu Tikka masala and I could t stomach either one.

Never order biryani here. They don’t know how to make. I have ordered biryani , paneer tikka masala. They made biryani like lemon rice and given kadai paneer. Very disappointed.

Arya Bhavan is that hidden gem on Devon if you're into veggie or vegan Indian food. I got the vegan thali and a samosa—everything was fresh, flavorful, and not heavy like some spots. The thali had a little bit of everything, and the dal was chef’s kiss. Spent about $20 and felt good after, not sluggish. Super chill vibe, nothing fancy, just solid food made with care.

Chef Kirti is one of the best restaurant owners / operators I have had the pleasure of meeting. The food is fantastic, and Chef is always in earshot to help or make sure you are full.

I highly recommend this establishment!

Definitely going to return to this restaurant! A friend and I came, and I’m gluten intolerant, but she can eat just about anything. She admitted later that she was nervous when she found out it was also vegan, but as soon as we got our first appetizer, we knew we were in good hands. Everything was fresh, deeply flavorful and nuanced And balanced, and delicious. We loved the lentil fritters, and the gluten-free samosas (which are softer than traditional wheat samosas but still very delicious), and the tamarind sauce they came with, and our entrées. Everything was delicious and filling! We barely had room for dessert but we were glad we did, dessert is wonderful if you like coconut. Though I’m not a huge fan of coconut shavings, which made up the bulk of the crust of the mango cake I got, I still was happy to finish it because it was just that good. Both of us were thinking of friends we could recommend the spot to before we were finished. I will say they take a little time to get dishes out, so keep that in mind— but freshness THAT good takes time!

The place was empty at the peak lunch time. I should have just left seeing that. The owner took our order. Didn’t ask for spice level or even check back to find how we liked the food or if we won’t anything more. They seem least interested. The dosa was ok but the chole bhature was so bad. The bhature was like thick fried dough. Never in my life have I seen bhature like this.
May be they do more food delivery. But when a door dasher came to pick the food and said that the customer is angry that the food is late, the owners response was - ‘it’s ok. Let them be angry. It’s common.’ This response was shocking when he knew that other customers are sitting there and might listen to the conversation. Worst experience over all.

This is THE place to go for gluten free, vegan food! Kirti, the owner, is like family; she is so friendly and will make sure you get the right dish for you! As someone who eats dairy free and gluten free, it's wonderful to have a full meal and not worry about having to miss out. You can have a nice, relaxing meal here and have good conversation. Mango lassi, chai tea, mixed basket, malai kofta, and mango cake is my go to order!

Dietary restrictions: This restaurant is 100% vegan and 99% gluten free; gluten free food is prepared in a separate kitchen and you can even get gluten free samosas! Delicious!
