We met at Ascioe for our 1st date. On a Sunday at 5 pm We're both over 65 and in great shape. The food and dessert was delicious and the service was great! We talked for hours at our outdoor table. Then we for a walk around Promontory Point at 55th and Lake Michigan. She's still talking to me!!!!!!
The beet salad was great. The appetizers were good: the octopus, burrata, arancini. The brussel sprouts were good. I tried a three of the pastas but they were far too heavy for me personally. The qualities of the pastas themselves were low, especially the gnocchi. Service was great. Really just order something other than the pastas.
The breakfast burger was really good. They have the best fries! Service could use some work! Especially since they already include gratuity, even for a table of 4. I do not like waiting for the waiter to bring the check! Insane. At some point he disappeared and we could not find him.
