Stuffed cabbage with mashed potatoes was excellent. My husband liked the goulash. Friendly and pleasant and helpful service. We bought some pastries to go. All was delicious. Ordered a birthday cake. Can't wait to get it! Overall a gem.

Once again, I drove 45 minutes to the bakery to pick our family’s favorite birthday cake, Berryiclious. Tanya and her mom were responsive and answered all my questions about the cake. The cake was freshly prepared and it was so easy to order online. Love supporting this small business.

The Goulash was delicious, the beef was perfectly tender and the sauce had so much flavor. It paired perfectly with the mashed potatoes and fresh baked bread provided. We also go the cheese burek (not pictured because we scarfed it down). I believe they use Bulgarian feta or something similar it was extra tangy and creamy and had a wonderful texture that contrasted the crunchy and flaky phyllo dough it's filled in. The proportions were generous and definitely worth the price. We also enjoyed slices of the mocha cake and pastry crème cake with a domestic coffee on the side which was similar to Turkish coffee and well balanced out the sweets. Overall, highly recommend this place, looking forward to further exploring the menu.

So this is exactly what I was missing in a suburban life. Quaint, authentic, bakery/ restaurant. Owned by family who is sooo welcoming and personal…You can feel the vibes of love, nostalgia, and just feel- good atmosphereMy friend brought me here after raving about it and it sure didn’t disappoint…We loved ambience where we could order authentic Turkish coffee and pick among these amazing desserts. We weren’t even hungry for lunch but we couldn’t leave without taking some pastries back home ( which my kids swear was THE Best burek) And yes they also will make glued free burek if you ask for it??….I will definitely be back with my girlfriend’s for food and desserts

As a business owner myself for over 18 years I don't think that this is the right way to run your business. I'm really disappointed. Couple of us wanted to try this place. So we book for one of the events .This was a little pricey for what we will get, but we decided to do it anyway. Then when it was canceled we requested a refund. After a week of emailing back-and-forth, most of emails was ignored still not refund back.

I ordered food via The Toast App to pick up after work. We had two kinds burek, mantije, and stuffed cabbage rolls. I arrived to pick up my order and I couldn't resist buying a variety of cookies.Everything was delicious! We will be back again soon!

My wife and I never ate such delicious smores as the ones offered by the Astoria Bakery & Cafe! Indescribably delicious is all that we can say. We also enjoyed a scrumptious strawberry creme puff. The Astoria reminds us of Olde Europe, a little corner of the Hapsburg Empire in Lisle, IL I urge all who are looking for extraordinary pastries to visit this charming and nostalgic refuge from the mundane details of everyday life.
