Avaspi in Lakeview is truly a hidden gem! From the moment I walked in, I was blown away by the warm and inviting ambiance—it’s the perfect blend of chic and cozy. The food was absolutely amazing, with each dish bursting with flavor and presented beautifully.
The staff made my birthday celebration unforgettable. They were attentive, engaging, and genuinely fun, going above and beyond to make the night special. It’s rare to find a place that nails both impeccable service and incredible food, but Avaspi does it effortlessly.
I can’t recommend this place enough and will definitely be back. It’s easily one of my favorite spots now, and I’m already looking forward to my next visit!

Highly recommend this hidden gem. I should have taken pictures but didn't think of it until we have devoured everything. The ambiance is suitable for a great date night but also a casual place to drop in. Cocktails are good, and the wine list is lengthy. Service is great. And the food! We got the mixed meze, the stuffed mushrooms (with a tomato sauce and bright herbs that were better than the finest Italian restaurant), the hunkar, and the Avaspi mixed plate. Every dish was phenomenal. Fresh herbs. Tender meat. Great grill flavor. Endless warm bread for the fantastic dips. And very reasonable prices. Foodies rejoice!
Wheelchair accessibility: Door is not electronically operated, but otherwise good accessibility. Wide spaces between tables and all on one floor. I cannot vouch for the bathroom though.
I walked out of Avaspi and thought to myself that the meal I just had may have been one of the best meals of my life!!! The Mixed Meze and the Halloumi Salad were absolutely incredible dishes. Will certainly be returning (and hopefully soon).

Great restaurant from the owner of Gundi’s Kurdish restaurant. Mehmet and other servers were so nice to my family. Great ambiance inside. we tried Avaspi mixed plate it was delicious.

Their Turkish Coffee Martini was one of the best espresso martini type drinks I've ever had. Old fashioned was great too.
We shared the Mixed Meze which was the way to go. Each of the five dips was distinct and delicious. The Muhammara was the highlight.
The bread that came with it was so fluffy and warm, but had a nice crunch on the crust.
I had the chicken kebab with rice and veggies. Was perfectly filling, but didn't weigh you down afterwards.
The servers were working great as a team. They were constantly scanning the table and giving a heads up to whoever was serving the specific table if someone's water was low or they might need more bread.
Parking: Street parking in a busy part of town. Probably would take a ride share

We love this place! We have been for dinner multiple times (love the platter and their homemade hummus) and now they just started serving brunch and it is phenomenal- get the breakfast for 2!!!
The service is good— the staff is so friendly and accommodating and the vibes are gorgeous and there’s a small patio too.
Don’t be fooled by the fact that it’s not busy (yet!), it’s just still a hidden gem.

Amazing Turkish/Mediterranean tapas! A must-do stop! This place was fantastic. Classy but approachable atmosphere and top-notch service. We had four small plates for two people and it was the perfect amount of food. Each one was better than the last and perfectly cooked and balanced. We had the stuffed dates, the beef arancini (not the actual name) the calamari salad and the grilled halloumi. Everything about this meal was perfect!
