A taste of Greece in Lincoln Park at @Avli Taverna. This casual neighborhood spot is tucked into lush tree lined streets offering two outdoor patios and a modern and comfortable interior with greenery and light fixtures that catch my attention every time. The main outdoor patio is large, covered and draped with pretty purple flowers. There is also a smaller open air patio along Wrightwood.Looking for authentic Greek food? If you haven’t looked at their brunch menu, I suggest you do. I’m going back for the French toast. ? (traditional Greek bread, honey, strawberry marmalade, and fruit) Yum!
Great ambience, especially when seating outdoors. Friendly service. The food is not that great however, I would say mediocre, except a few items. It is more like a Mexican version of Greek food; as the Greek salad is anything but what the name suggests.

We live nearby the Lincoln Park location and are regulars here. My most recent visits include last Wednesday for dinner with a friend and this Friday for dinner with the family. Both times were disappointing. Our reservation was for 8:15 and they did not seat us until 8:30. Then the table was not set up with the right amount of glasses and silverware. At both visits, the salmon was extremely dry (as if it has been reheated), the spinach and feta pie was overcooked/ slightly burnt and the baklava tasted stale/ old. Very disappointing - unsure of the next time we dine here.

The best whiskey sour of my life. The service was great. Alex was our bartender and knew so much about how to make a good drink.

First of all, the food is insanely good. I’ve never had anything that wasn’t a 10/10 on the menu and I’ve been here several times. The brunch and dinner and appetizers and wine are all delicious. The inside and outside patio have tons of seating and are very aesthetically pleasing. My only complaint is the servers are often very pushy and will be upset if you only get a few appetizers and wine even if they’re not busy and you are there under an hour and a half or so.

Anyone who has been to any restaurant in Greektown Chicago will agree that Avli is no where near Greek cuisine! Been there 3times to give the food a chance to improve, but it’s still not GOOD! Over salted , bland dishes , it’s BAD ! NO FLAVOR!!!

My favorite Greek spot in Chicago. I love the fresh ingredients, preparation of dishes and presentation. This is a great location on a quiet street in Lincoln park and has a lovely outside seating area as well as inside. There are heaters too for chilly nights. This place is very accommodating to families and has great customer service from the hostess to the wait staff. Everything feels clean and of good quality. The portions are perfect - not too big or too small. Both the melitzanosalata & moussaka are light and filling at the same time. Dessert is awesome. I love every dish here.
