Where do I start? This place is amazing. From the atmosphere to the food. You walk in and you feel like you are in a family restaurant. The food is ridiculously awesome. You get the bread, and you can then order pizza bread and an appetizer. The calamari is super tender and greatly flavored. Next is the soup or salad. You cannot go wrong with the stracchietella or minestrone, both are amazing. You can also get a salad! Then here comes the main course. You have to get the veal parmesan. BEST MEAL ON THE MENU. Make sure you get an extra side of the meat sauce. ITS A MUST. 10/10. After you enjoy the best meal of your life, you must get a dessert. A coffee and Bailey's is never a bad choice.

Sabatinos was one of my favorite Northside Chicago restaurants. My understanding is that chef opened this restaurant after its closing. The dining experience and quality of the food is the same. Excellent!

Our server, Lynette, was wonderful! Great cocktails, fantastic entrees, and peppermint ice cream for dessert! The entire staff was welcoming and efficient. Definitely recommend. Definitely will come back again!

Food and service were excellent and as expected. My wife had the 10 layer lasagna, which was fantastic. I had the veal three ways which was suggested to me by the wait staff.
My only complaint was a sewer smell. It may have been coming from the kitchen as we were the only ones who were close to the kitchen door and it seemed to come out whenever people would walk in and out. This actually prevented us from staying for another drink and having some dessert.
I understand things happen. It would not prevent me from going back again as everything else was excellent. The atmosphere score was based solely on tonight‘s issues.

Ok, I have a soft spot for Sabatino’s. When I heard that this spot was from their old staff or some such I was super excited. They did away with the pizza bread at the table, and now offer soup or salad instead of both. And the banana foster is not done table side. However I still left absolutely stuffed and happy. I will be coming back here, and recommend.
Place is a joke. They know how to take a reservation, they just don’t know how to hold it. Make a reservation online for today, Valentine’s Day . Lucky I called to confirm but they have zero record of my reservation and did nothing to make it right . Woman couldn’t care less . What a dump. Far cry from Sabatino’s

I have been going to Sabatino‘s for 40 years + and I have to say everything is delicious at Avvio and nobody mentioned the veal and oysters Rockefeller it is outstanding!

Fabulous place. Very underrated but highly recommended. I would advise you go check it out. More than just the amazing food, its the ambience and the fantastic staff who are there. Will definitely go back.

This is now my favorite restaurant! My family and myself were repeat patrons of Sabatino’s and since its closing, nothing came close. Then there was Avvio that never disappoints. I am very grateful to have a place like this that myself and loved ones can go to for an amazing dining experience and not to mention their top notch dirty martini’s with hand stuffed blue cheese olives!
