Food was beautiful, got the 3 taco dinner, steak was nice and soft, the al pastor was super flavorful. Their sauces are to die for, everything here is made fresh. Another Chicago gem to visit if you are around the area. Only bad thing I could ever say is that in the winter months, it gets super cold in there cause of the door constantly opening and closing, so this place might need another door to enter through, so you wouldnt feel all the cold winter air, but thats about it 😊 love this small mexican joint with flavorful food.

This place is so good. We had a hard time finding a fresh Mexican spot, and Mixteco reminds us of the California/ mission style burritos we would get when we lived in SF. Really everything is great, but especially love the Azteca burrito and quesadilla, guacamole and habanero salsas super yum. Highly recommend, we order from here all the time

My favorite quick Mexican spot on the north side! I always get the shrimp burrito. They recently started putting the burrito on the flattop so you get a nice crispy outer tortilla shell to complement all of the flavorful fillings.
The queso dip is really great as well and reminds me of queso I’ve had at Texas restaurants.
The food here is out of this world. The chicken (Mexican style) taco is my absolute favorite. At a lot of restaurants, the rice and beans can be afterthoughts, but here the rice and beans are amazing.

I go very often and really do love eating here. The food is always on point but the service is kind of trash. The only time I get good service is when it’s a girl. My biggest complaint is that I’m never able to put my rewards in, and as a frequent visitor the rewards could really stack up. I spend anywhere from 20-50 dollars per visit and I’m always recommended this place and bringing people in. Would really love if I could use the rewards program they have set up and I would give this a 5 star rating
