The customer service here was very very bad. When I walked in the staff were sitting there (a woman behind the counter, 2 women at a separate table- one was the cook who took my order). They did not speak or smile when I walked in even after I smiled and said hello. I honestly felt unwelcomed at the way they stared at me. It took a minute for the woman to address me and take my order she just looked at me and it didnt seem like she really wanted to. When she past me my food I said thank you and smiled and she just turned and walked away. I dont think it was anything personal because they did the same thing to two other people that came shortly after me. Because of how uncomfortable they made me I wont be going back there and would not recommend this place to anyone.

I thought that the lack of etiquette in terms of customer service would mean that the food would be bomb, but it was awful. The only thing I could eat was jolluf rice and intestine. The lamb was so tough I couldn’t cut through it, nor could I eat it off the bone. Idk why this place has a 4.3. Please go somewhere else for your own sake!

Food was amazing! Jollof was smoky and well seasoned. Large portions that fed several people from 2 plates. Egusi and fufu was delicious. My uncle and brother kept complimenting the taste of everything. I'll definitely go back next time I'm in Chicago.

I’ll be the first to say that the food is good but their attitude SUCKS. I think they generally act this way to anyone who isn’t African. On the phone and In person. The food is good but their attitude is unsettling. I’ll take my money else where.

I always want to taste the differences in the nigerian dish when it comes to how it's made by different tribes. B&Q is one of those restaurants to get that delicious taste of the Midwestern area dishes from.

delicious food. the stew and rice is phenomenal and great portions
Food was decent (aside from them serving me a goat bone with zero meat on it and calling it meat) , but their dining room is absolutely disgusting. There's probably a full portion's worth of old food caked on to their dining room blinds, which look like they've never been cleaned. The walls are dirty, the tables are dirty, and the same indifference seems to carry over to the service, which borders on hostile. If that's what they're comfortable having guests see, then I hesitate to imagine what their kitchen or bathroom look like. Wouldn't eat here again. This is the kind of restaurant that people suspect of being a money laundering front. The food is mediocre, the service uniformly terrible, and it's an obvious health hazard. How they manage to pay their rent serving bad food with a bad attitude in the best food city in the world will remain a mystery. I hope they close and something better replaces them.

The jollof rice was not hittin. Perhaps it’s the fact that I ordered for pick up on a Monday. Is that a bad thing to do in Chicago?
