The limited seating creates an intimate atmosphere, perfect for a small family gathering or a romantic evening. The menu features highly recommended dishes, including the tasty lasagna, delicious chicken parmesan, and flavorful pasta. The restaurant boasts a warm and inviting ambiance, with friendly staff providing great service. Customers can enjoy dining outside on Oakley Avenue, where the street is closed on Sundays for the restaurants. If you like Italian food, you’ll love Bacchanalia! Located in the Heart of Chicago, this restaurant has some of the finest dishes outside of downtown Chicago, with arguably the best lasagna in the city, as well as some of the best calamari and baked clams, and not to mention the tiramisu. This place is the best! The sauces are thick and creamy. Best fried calamari, fettuccine Alfredo and lasagna!!! I love sitting outside in a cool night on the weekends too!!’ Love it!!!

I have been a customer of Bacchanalia for over 40 years. We went there on Sunday for one of our favorites. Shrimp Bacchanalia and Veal Parmesan. The prices have skyrocketed and the service has gone down. Our server was a young , inexperienced and more concerned with talking to the bartender than servicing her customers. So, after 40 years we must say goodbye to one of our favorite restaurants.
