Great local hang out. Love the vibes and the people working here. Very calm and laid back. Would love if their espresso martinis weren't pre-made but other than that awesome place to visit!

I usually love this bar and have been coming here for years, but I had an odd experience on Sunday, Aug 31. The bartender was repeatedly screaming, but it was the type of loud horror scream that made the whole place go silent and look for danger. My table thought there was an emergency/someone was hurt/etc. It turned out the bartender was screaming because of a flying bug. After the 5th scream that silenced the bar and made everyone jump out of their skin, we left. People were also leaving the bar seats because it was such a weird situation. Love the bar, good bar bites, cute atmosphere, but we had to leave solely because the screaming was making us feel uncomfortable/causing panic. I’m only coming on here so hopefully the bartender can be more aware/management can address.

This is my favorite bar in Chicago, and one of my favorite bars anywhere in the US. The employees are always super friendly and attentive, the vibes are always great, it draws a lively but friendly and respectful crowd. The food is always good, the beer selection is 10/10, plus a great whiskey selection. I couldn't come up with a bad thing to say about this place if you held a gun to my head. I make a point to come here every trip to Chicago, and I've even sent multiple friends here who have also come back with glowing reviews. And for those of you that don't do fancy stuff, they have two fridges full of High Life. What else could you possibly want from a bar?

Bangers & Lace is a great neighborhood spot- the beer selection is pretty solid and well priced, the food is exactly what I crave at a bar, and the staff is suer friendly. It’s a great place to stop by for a quick bite or to stay for the entire night

Amazing service, selection of beers and the vibes were 10/10. Did not expect such a lovely, spacious bathroom! Shows the level of care these folks have gone to with this bar - very impressed and I'll be back!

Great bar with a great vibe, pool table at the back, nice patio out front and great people!

Have only been here for drinks on the patio. Great atmosphere with a nice patio. Fairly good cocktails and a decent happy hour. You can tell High Life is a popular choice here since they have two large coolers full of them!

The place is great and has a fantastic beer menu. I stopped in Sunday and had a $9 beer. I sat there for about 20 minutes after finishing my beer and was never offered another nor asked if I wanted the check. I had to leave and so I did. When I checked my bank account I noticed they charged me $25. I understand an automatic 20% gratuity but this is a little much
