Paid close to $9 for a mooncake with red bean paste and egg Yolks. It didn’t taste as good as the ones from Costco and was much smaller. What a ripoff!!

Were so nice to me coming in. The woman behind the counter was smiley and so sweet describing some of the pastries. I got a snow mountain bun and matcha roll. Both were delicious. Will be back

Bao Bae is on the second floor of 88 Marketplace in the supermarket area. So many options for cakes, buns (sweet and savory), mochi donuts, and more. Most buns are $1.99 and egg tarts are $2.49. A little on the pricier side compared to locations in Chinatown but more diverse bakery options for my liking at this location. My favorites are the mochi donuts (brought in here from Te Amo), the taro bun (not too sweet and fluffy breading), and the custard buns. Everything if individually wrapped (except for the egg tarts). Note - there is a 3% credit card processing fee for purchases under $10. They also accept cash. Stop by here for a bao next time you’re at 88 Marketplace!

They got a lock on milk bread, and mango 杨枝甘露，Ube mochi cake, that cake they do… woah桃胶? peach jelly is a tad sweet but yum.I am not a ube girl but had to try their creation. Absolutely gorgeous and delish!♥️ ??The osmanthus jelly pudding and the coconut pudding were well packed and delicious!

Our go-to for pork sung/pork floss buns ? and I am not a bread person, but ALL their bread is super moist and yummy!! Oh, and I learned when we got there later (close to closing time) that they do a $1 for the remaining bread for the day, so you can be sure that everything they serve is freshly baked for the day! We go there now whenever we drive to Chicago. ?
