Great choice for raw seafood. Enjoyed the salmon crudo and the ceviche. Sea bass was a good entree but it's a bit rich with a butter sauce and does not come with a side, a starch would help balance it. The restaurant opens right onto the patio for a great view and ambience even sitting indoors.

The only downside to an incredible evening was there was confusion at the valet stand. Other than that, we enjoyed every minute and every bite at Bar Mar. Even the house salad was memorable. The service was outstanding, as was the attention to detail. We were treated like royalty. It's informal, but without question a place to celebrate special occasions. We will definitely return.

The three of us all ordered lobster rolls. They were small like a child's size. They were delicious, but they did not fill us up. So we ordered dessert which was good. The service was outstanding, but I will never return due to the cost of our dinner. We did not receive any value for the tiny lobster rolls. I felt embarrassed by the small amount of food we received. Tat the end of our meal, our waitresses tried to take my small bag of potato chips. I had to grab them back and tell her that I was still pretty hungry and wanted to finish them on my ride home.

By far one of my best experiences at a restaurant in general. The service was fantastic, the wait for food was never long. They timed the appetizer and main dishes perfectly. Our server was very kind and attentive to our needs. Would 100% return and will be soon.

The food was unbelievably good. The service was very attentive and the ambience was simply beautiful. Our only challenge was the valet which is an outside contractor company did not show up and we had to find a place to park on the street the Materre D did try to find out what it happened to the valet and was very apologetic. We would go again for any reason.

4 of us met there pre-show. We got there a little early for a 6pm reservation and the place was packed. We had to wait a few minutes past our reservation time for the after work crowd to disperse but the hostels was very attentive and apologetic. We were seated about 10 minutes late. We let our server know we had a deadline to meet and she made sure we were taken care of. We actually had time for dessert! We started with cocktails their version of an Aviation was excellent and served with flare but the salt foam margaritas were even better. Served up with a light salty foam we are glad not to have missed them! Neptunes purses as appetizers S recommended by the server, were unique and did not disappoint as well as the poke bowl and grilled shrimp salad. The deconstructed key lime pie was a lovely light dessert. We shared all of the dishes because we were going to a show and didn't want to be too full. We all look forward to going back trying more of the menu when time and over full stomachs aren't a concern

We don't tend to frequent this caliber of restaurant, but were recommended by friends. The prices were reasonable, food and staff excellent. We will be back if we are ever in the area again. Keep up the fantastic work! Booking the reservation was easy as well. Lots of reminders were very helpful!

Food and waitstaff were great. The hosting situation is why we gave it a 4. The entrance felt super cramped even with no one being there. And when they went to seat us it was originally right next to the only other people in the whole outside seating area. Thankfully they were able to move us out of the lap of the other couple eating, and everything else was great.

My husband and I celebrated our anniversary. Amy was our server and she came to greet us with glasses of sparkling wine. It was a very nice start. We always like this restaurant: great food, professional and friendly service. Managers stopped by to check on us. We ordered flan (also was great ) to conclude our meal and it ended up being complementary as well. Thank you to the entire team of the restaurant for making our celebration special. Strongly recommend Bar Mar for any occasion.
