The food was outstandingly delicious and our server Jessica was incredible - attentive, kind, and fun! The manager Kristie came by to check on us a couple of times and was very kind as well. Our group of three had a wonderful time trying many different dishes. One of our group had many questions of the ingredients and tastes and Amanda was able to answer all her questions and explain the sauces and tastes. It was great for the food aficionado to learn so much. on the other hand I was just enjoying all the many fabulous tastes'. Amanda was also able to explain the many cocktails and drinks and make suggestions as our meal continued. We wanted to try different cocktails as they have great selection. We each had a favorite drink. Amanda kept an eye on us, keeping the dinner moving and serving us -appearing when needed. We knew she was keeping an eye on us. Things moved smoothly, and appeared effortlessly. The food runners, bussers were also a big part of the dinner, keeping things moving and assisting with refills, clean plates, answering more questions!! It was a great night- my fiends wee posting on the way home.

We ordered mostly appetizers. Hamachi cones were really good. Definitely recommend those. Asian taco was good but the seaweed could be better which is a key ingredient that put together other ingredients. We are Koreans and eat seaweed all the time. We know when seaweeds are old and don’t have the crispness. Most of all, the service should be improved as the sparking wine came out after all appetizers came out. The appetizers we ordered should be eaten when just came out to fully experience the crispness. With all that said, overall we were very satisfied :)

Very good cocktails, food was above average, but service disappointed from a soft-spoken hostess who we couldn't hear, a waiter who knew the menu but was going thru the motions with no mention of our anniversary reservation, and a 3rd person who brought the check (I guess so they could turn the table over? weird).

Mostly very disappointed with the food. Octopus dish was rubbery and cold. Lobster bisque was salty and cold. Shrimp salad was way over drenched with dressing that wasn’t even good. For entrees, we tried the chicken, salmon, and scallops. They all fell short in flavor and overall the dishes were leaning pretty salty! We also had the prime rib dish, that was the only entree that was decent. However, 2 people in our party got the prime rib and the portion sizes were completely different, so consistently definitely feels like an issue. Dessert also fell short. We really wanted the flan but they were sold out. So we tried the toffee pudding and key lime. Something about the key lime was off, it’s like a deconstructed key lime pie which would have been cool but the flavors just didn’t mesh well. Toffee dessert was the best thing we had but some of the pieces of cake were so hard as if it was burnt or left out to dry.
Atmosphere was okay, we loved the big octopus piece on the ceiling. But although it was right on the river, there’s not really any tables with a good view. Server was not very attentive and felt like he was rushing when we were ordering or asking questions. He also didn’t really check on us throughout our meal.

Went here last night and had a great experience until I woke up in the middle of the night with HORRIBLE stomach pain, which led to diarrhea and vomiting, to the point where I was on the verge of passing out. I had the poke bowl that included raw fish, a margarita with foam on top (which had a fruit fly in it), and the tuna ceviche. Our waitress did offer me a new drink after I found the fruit fly, so I did appreciate that but declined.

It took me a long time to choose a luxurious restaurant for my birthday until I decided on Bar Mar this restaurant for me won my heart ♥️ when I arrived the valet parking took the car key we arrived and the reservation was ready right at my time I arrived only 10 minutes before my reservation quickly they greeted me they congratulated me and received me between smiles they took me to my table, when I sat down and saw the restaurant in detail I was very impressed it is a very glamorous restaurant everything very nice clean everything perfect after 3 or 5 minutes approximately arrived The waitress introduced herself as Mia a decent girl educated excellent service she gave me with some names of appetizers that I had doubts and ordered after a short time my champagne rose arrived and to toast and enjoy also in a matter of minutes arrived the starters arrived that I ordered everything very delicious what I liked most was the caviar cone I had ordered 3 and when I liked it so much I ordered 3 more I enjoyed this restaurant to the fullest then I ordered more drink GL Dom Carneros Brut Rose and meat Washugyu Ribeye and Filet 7oz while waiting for my meat the manager approached He introduced himself as Martín politely congratulated me and said that as I had made my reservation at 8:30 pm and ordered the meat at almost 9:30 pm it was going to be a little late since I should have lost the one before since it was delayed so if you ask for meat do it together with the starters so you avoid waiting a long time as it happened to me well to the manager to tell me I told him don’t worry we will wait for the meat minutes later I arrived and I loved it I loved the 2 meats that I had ordered very delicious then to order the dessert And I ordered the traditional Sticky Toffee Pudding and Key Lime Pie very delicious both desserts I loved it
When I finished, I ordered the bill and paid
This was my experience I left very happy definitely my birthday night I had an incredible time in a restaurant that is worth every penny I pay
Yes, I would go back, yes, of course I will return many times since I love to dine in luxurious restaurants and that provide good service and that dinner is delicious

Came here for early dinner with friends on a Sunday afternoon. The service was excellent - attentive, great suggestions, and a corny joke. The food was delicious - we had lobster rolls, burgers, the crab cake, and Neptune's Pillows. All the drinks were fantastic, too. I had the Gin & Tonic and another friend had the Whiskey Smash.
