I love this tucked away resto!! I don't know if it's the yummy consommé or the delicious popovers treats or the friendly service or just that it's a great place to have a quiet conversation but I'm a regular!
Great way to spend a very cold Chicago day. Amazing popovers and warm broth to start. It was quiet. The server was excellent. We all enjoyed our salads and we each got a different one. We will definitely go back.
This is one of our family traditions. Different city, but food, service and ambience did not disappoint.
Took a long time after we ordered for the food to arrive. Once we placed our order the server evaporated. Food is served by a different person than the server. No one ever came back to us at all until I had to flag down the original server for our check. Very disappointing.
We had an outstanding lunch, we were greeted by the nicest hostess and had fabulous service. It was a terrific day after Thanksgiving lunch.
i always have a wonder time for lunch. service is immpeccable food is delicious wonderful experience
Very small portions and very overpriced. Service mediocre at best. Lacks the warmth that if had quite sometime ago.
I am a huge fan of NM Cafe's, and I have been to Mariposa many times previously. Today everything was off - very slow service (seemed to be understaffed) and the salad I ordered did not have the ingredients listed on the menu and was average at best.
Good food in a relaxed atmosphere. Good service and great shipping afterward. The popover can't be beat!!!! I had 2,
The service was bot the best this time I asked for a little more salad dressing and i had to ask twice
Restaurantji Recommends
The food is always good, ditto the service. The tables are far enough apart that you can have a private conversation, and despite the fact that it's in N-M, there's no see-and-be-seen vibe. I love it.
I love this restaurant. It has wonderful service and always consistently good food. I left a review by mistake before which got confused with a different place. This is a wonderful lunch place. I go all the time and highly recommend it.
Nice place for lunch / brunch and to get away from the crowd on Michigan Avenue- recommended
Salmon tacos were fabulous . Waiter was reallly helpful . Original calder artworks over entire restaurant.
