Bar Roma is amazing. I appreciate the staffs and managers kindness to me even though I have autism and their food is amazing and really good. Owner Julia and Fred are very nice. The restaurant is in good condition. Amazing meatballs. Must come back. 10/10.
Service is the best . Accommodatedout time constraints . Veal marsala and branzino were tasty and cooked well.
Bread could be improved- lacked texture and taste.

Ordered meatballs via GrubHub. Sloppy and terrible at best. Watery tomato sauce, dough for bread. Tasteless, wet meatballs. Even the parm was off. 4.7 stars? Learn to make a meatball. This was a joke for $40.
I can’t beleive they have a weekend happy hour! And this place will transport you to Italy. Their wine selection is excellent. Service was great too- loved the patio. @chicagopescetarian

Mixed Experience at Bar Roma
We came to Bar Roma to celebrate my husband's 40th birthday and were really looking forward to it. The wine selection was great, and the meatballs were truly out of this world—definitely a highlight!
Unfortunately, we were incredibly disappointed with our main dishes. The chicken parmesan was just okay—it lacked flavor and felt quite bland. The biggest letdown was the pappardelle with braised oxtail ragu. While the noodles were cooked perfectly, the oxtail was mostly chunks of fat with little to no actual meat in it, and the dish as a whole lacked seasoning.
In conclusion, if you're looking for a fun spot with great wine and appetizers, Bar Roma delivers. But if you're hoping for a full-course dining experience with flavorful entrees, it might not be the best choice.

The house-made pasta is delicious! Full stop. We had the Cacio e Pepe, the Lasagna, and the special, which was a chicken sausage Alfredo. The cocktails were seasonal and also very good. Excellent Italian wine selection.
