We came by for happy hour and had a great time in this beautifully decorated spot with great playlist. I love the glass ceilings with natural lights. My favorite are the fries, dolce picante, chicken bao, mezze board in that order. They are good portion and you’ll left filled. Good vibes good services!

I wish I could do five stars because the gnocchi I got was absolutely wonderful. But the drinks all tasted off and my friends got the chicken and something about it was very off. Our server was very kind but the restaurant was almost empty and the service was very slow. I recommend the gnocchi and the fries but stay away from the Hugo spritz the sins of our youth drinks.

We have become regulars at the West Town location. The atmosphere is so relaxing with vinyl playing. The service is fabulous and the people we have met there are great. Such a great vibe and both food and drink are fabulous.

A beautiful restaurant. Small plates so we got to taste a lot of different delicious foods. The service wasn’t the greatest for such a wonderful place, but maybe it was just a bad night.

Food was reasonably priced and which was just ok. Drinks were nearly as much as the food. The restaurant was incredibly loud, the servers had no idea who ordered what and placed everything from drinks to meals in front of the wrong people. It was not a dining experience, more like let's turn the tables and get in more customers. Would my friends and I return or recommend it? No way.

Swung by Beatnik West Town for dinner at 7pm. Started with the baba ganoush and halloumi fries, got the short‑rib tagine, plus a Mamu Vida cocktail. Server was chill, the place looks wicked Insta-worthy and the small plates pop with flavor. But the tagine felt kinda shy—would’ve used more sauce and oomph. Not bad, just felt a lil overhyped. 2★

This place gets a lot of hate in the reviews but it’s great. The food is great, the service is awesome, and there are comfy couches, and great decor. They have a skylight that is ornate. Definitely cost a lot to build this place up.

It’s a fusion of med and Asian foods. We came here on a Wednesday night, around 5:30pm. The place was almost empty but as we were leaving at 7 it was getting more busy.

For food we got a lot, mostly to share with each other (2 adults and 1 child). We got the Salmon Crudo, which was so fresh, so delicious. Za’atar Fries, which were crunchy, and perfectly salted. We also got the chicken musakhan, which was delicious, charred, and came with a great sauce.

We got a hummus and lamb meatball, it was very good. Finally we got the friend chicken bao. The taste was great with a spicy ish sauce. Nothing was too salty, or sour. It was all creamy and delicious. The drinks were tasty too.

For dessert we got a Hoosier Pie Company Chocolate and Strawberry pie, it was very thick.

This place allows kids but does not have a kids menu or kids drinks. It is kid friendly in a way.

They did have an NA Pina Colada, which was also creamy, and cold, and good.

Dishonest billing practices + poor service = disappointing experience

Beatnik West Town crossed a serious line. The core issue isn’t the prices—it’s the lack of transparency. You’ll see one bill, hand over your credit card, and then suddenly be charged a different, higher total. They add percentages on top of percentages with no upfront disclosure. If you’re not paying close attention or just tired from brunch, you could easily miss it. Frankly, it feels deceptive—and I’m not sure it’s even legal.

When I questioned the charges, the waiter was rude and dismissive, and the manager told me it’s a directive “from the owners” and not something they can change. So no accountability, no resolution.

On top of that, Sunday brunch was a mess—understaffed, overwhelmed, and clearly operating on a cost-cutting budget. Beautiful space, but what good is ambiance if the service leaves you feeling ripped off?

Wouldn’t recommend unless you enjoy scrutinizing your receipt and chasing down staff to explain it.

Shocking service on a slow Thursday night.

Went with my partner last night, Thursday to this location for the first time. Showed up at 6:30 and we were promptly seated. From the start our server was distracted, inconsiderate , and forgetful. He went to ask the kitchen to confirm if a dish we ordered was gluten free, but never came back to us. He just put the order in. When the food runner dropped off the dishes we were confused as the waiter never confirmed anything. After a bit we put in an order for a second round of drinks. Then immediately saw the waiter go to clear off a table (the restaurant was half empty). And take orders from a table behind us. After 2-3 trips to the back, he was hanging out at the service area. When we next saw him 5 minutes later to give us our check(!), we had to remind him that he never gave us our drinks.

When we were done with our second drinks, we had to wait over 10 minutes with empty drinks before he came to check on us. Even passing us a dozen times, he never looked over or made eye contact once. After we requested the check, we again saw him go directly to other tasks around the restaurant - including giving checks to other tables. After 1 more reminder to him, we still did not get our check. We had to walk across the restaurant, tap him on the shoulder when he was chatting up co-workers, and ask for the check a 3rd time. At no point was the restaurant busy.

Having worked in numerous restaurant & service jobs, I have TONS of leeway for employees. Our service last night was shocking. It ruined a solid night for my partner and I.

Beatnik - it does not matter the ambiance of your restaurants. If you provide service like this, it will not be enough.
