Brunch is amazing here. Solid portions, bright and sunny interior, delicious and varied cocktails, and the decor is so exciting and refreshing

Place is beautiful but food was alright 20-25$ for a single brunch entree and also requested to be sat somewhere nice for our anniversary but they sat us in the corner by la toliteta when asked if we could have and open booth was instantly shot down with a no didn't even check if they were reserved or not

The ambience and decoration is amazing. Love the energy in the place, it's a perfect spot for a night of drinks, good appetizers and energetic conversations. We were charmed as we walked in and looked around us. The big chandeliers and plants were very aesthetically pleasing. It was very busy when we went and even though my reservation was 20 minutes after I walked in they gave my wife and I a very good table when we showed up. The server was friendly and made us feel at home. The food is different. My wife and I ordered the pennicilin mocktail, broccolini, mole verde gnocci and marinated chicken thighs. The mocktail was delicious, their in house made chai added to it gives the ginger a good cut and balance. It was small for $14 dollars considering it is a spirit free drink but was still greatly appreciated. Broccolini was perfectly cooked, charred just enough. I loved the balance of the creamy humus and feeling the popping of refreshing pomegranate. We definitely would've appreciated a tad bit more salsa macha on the dish. A sprinkle of salt on top would've also given elevation to flavor, wrapping it all together. The gnocci was definitely not my favorite. The sauce overpowered everything and it can be understandable since it is the main ingredient however the sour flavor of the tomatillo punched me in the face when I first took a bite. Adding some sugar or sweetener to their sauce will definitely help balance it out just right. There was no play of textures or any interesting element to it. Try browning the gnocci to give it a crisp, might take the dish to another level. Overall needs work. And last but not least, the chicken. We were excited for it when it came out. It looked flavorful and fun. Unfortunately were dissapointed to say the least. The dish had a very strong fish flavor. It was extremely strong and unappealing. We politely returned it and decided it would be best to leave it at the appetizers. We politely returned it. Would come back for diditems

After reading a couple of the negative on-line reviews for the service I was skeptical of what to expect when we made our reservation. I believe the negative reviews are most likely a one-off. I am happy to say our experience exceeded all our high standards for great food & service! I want to give a shout out to our server Brian and Mika's attention to detail. We chose the food from the menu for West Town Restaurant Week. Food: Presentation-A, Quality-A, Serving sizes-A, Taste-A Menu-A All the choices we made were flavorful and prepared to perfection. Off the charts delicious “CHOCOLATE BEIGNETS Apple Caramel Sauce” Service: Attentiveness-A ; Brian introduced himself and was very personable (you could sense he was happy and took pride working for Beatnik ) Service-A; our water & wine were refreshed regularly, he checked on us spontaneously to see if we needed anything definitely not pushy. He had a sense of ease and confidence. Menu Knowledge-A ; when we asked for recommendations on menu choice he was great at articulating and describing the food (asking about any food allergies, sensitivity to spices). My friend and I both have family events (wedding party & book launch) scheduled at “Beatnik this summer. I hope Brian & Mika are part of the team working our parties. After last nights exceptional experience we are so excited! I would highly recommend!

Sub par service and I'm being nice. We came for restaurant week. Ordered the sticky bun and baba ganoush for our first course then the chicken and waffles and cheeseburger with a side of fries for the second course. Also a sprite and ginger ale. The baba ganoush came out first then the fries. Then 10 minutes later we finally received our drinks (that were $7 each btw). 25 minutes later we received the cheeseburger and chicken and waffles. Chicken was not seasoned at all. Just glazed. Eventually our waiter decided to come over to check on us to which I told him we never received our sticky bun. I saw him bring out 3 of them to a larger table (that sat down after us) and then went back to get ours. The table next to me sat down a half hour after us and we received our bill at the same time..just to put things in perspective. And had the nerve to add a 18% service charge. Overall, they won't be having me as a customer again

They were understaffed (reported by server) when we arrived. Long wait to order. Entrees arrived 15 minutes apart (first came out 10 minutes before next, with last arriving after 15). Cocktail arrived when we asked for the check. No apologies. The server actually said, "it's not my fault the bartender was swamped."

Really poor customer service. Manager was not nice or attentive. Waiter was assigned too many tables and did not have time to take properly care of his customers. Manager needs management skills.

seemed to be only one server on a friday night. The order that the courses came out did not make sense: potatoes three ways came out first when other courses were much lighter. Expensive for what you get, Food ok. Also mentioned a birthday when making Open Table res. Absolutely no mention by server.

We went for the Happy Hour Menu that is a great value. Enjoyed the Mango Margarita, Moscow mule, and Estrella Jalisco Beer. Food was delicious. We shared the Mezze Board, Chicken Kebab, Za'Atar Fries, and Dolce Picante Flatbread.

Great spot. Have been here twice and it's a cool date venue and the food is great along with the ambiance.

I have been to Beatnik several times and in the past been very pleased...so when my family wanted to meet for my birthday, it was a natural choice. The vibes are immaculate. The issue with this visit is purely placed on the shoulders of the server. After greeting us, we asked for 2 minutes to make final selections. After 15 minutes he finally came back. He brought us drinks, and took our order...everything else was done by food runner. Each person's meal was brought out over a period of 15 minutes - which was odd. The server didn't proactively ask if anyone had any questions, ask if we were celebrating anything, check to see if our meals were good. There were 5-7 tables going at one time in the whole place. It was not overly busy. On the contrary. It was just obvious he didn't care about our experience. Normally, we tip more than 20% because we have all been servers at some point in our lives, but the bill included the tip at 18%, which we didn't add on to because $50 for subpar service wasn't warranted. The food was average tonight. The pita and hummus were good though. I get that there are bad days but it would be a good idea to try and fake it when you're in the service industry- at least try a little.

Only Christmas music was playing even though it was Nov 21 and we asked to change multiple times. We were sat for 30 minutes before a waiter/waitress came by. We also received food well before receiving our drinks.

Beautifully curated restaurant. Drinks were well crafted. I got the fattoush salad and the mussels. Highly recommend both! Good attention to flavors.
