Nice atmosphere. Dinner was not really as good as most of the restaurants around Chicago. Bar and drinks were great. Also great for breakfast, coffee etc...

Very nice dinner pretty late at night. I think we got the last possible reservation at 9:45pm and were told the kitchen was closing at 10pm. Totally fine. The server was great, the ambiance was good, and the food tasty. It's in a great neighborhood, so right after dinner we were able to go to Blue Chicago and other bars.

Hostess was really sweet and accommodating and our servers Andrea and Iman (he mentioned he was of Mexican descent) were both amazing. We loved the experience so much we went twice!

We loved Beatrix. The shakshuka was delicious! My only minor complaint was that our drinks took quite a long time to arrive, we didn't receive them until after we got our meals. Once it did arrive though, the London Fog and the chai were delicious :) Our waitress was awesome, I wish I had caught her name to mention her here!

Had breakfast here our last day in Chicago Food and service were excellent! The light and fluffy lemon pancakes are a must! And check out the baked goods for sale by the coffee bar. Great assortment including vegan and gluten free options

Came as a couple. Ordered the Migas Egg Scramble, Chimicurri Steak & Eggs and a few sides. The one time was busy and did involve a 40min wait time so we assume that this place can and does get “PACKED.” Great Brunch option if you’re in the mood for great food and great ambiance.

So, as much as I would like to give this restaurant five stars, there is a sneaky sneaky fine print disclosure at the very bottom of the menu. It says they will automatically include a surcharge unless you should notice it and request that it be removed. I did not notice it at first glance, but my boyfriend who is an attorney immediately recognized it. This is not an American practice, or with how corrupt this country is becoming, perhaps it is. Make CERTAIN you request to have the surcharge removed, and to also warn any nearby neighbor. We have to stick up together in solidarity for freedom against this BS. This is tyranny at its finest so BIG RESTAURANT can profit on people’s negligence. Shame on you Beatrix- you are full of tricks. The matcha and shashouka were delicious though, and our server was nice.
Fluffy pancakes are delicious, the avocado toast was on point. The coffee and the pineapple mimosa are really good!

The Beatrix team was so accommodating of my large party and got all our food and drinks out so quickly. Everything was delicious and the atmosphere was perfect for a gathering of close friends.
