After visiting Beecher's in Seattle and enjoying a spectacular grilled cheese we were thrilled to get one at Midway airport. Such a disappointing experience. My $12 grilled cheese didn't even have enough cheese on it to visibly see nor even taste. The "sandwich" was dry. Very disappointing.
Vennasa was great what a Service and care for customers

I got food poisoning from the chicken sandwich, a couple hours after eating I was on the plane and couldn’t stop puking/going to the bathroom. My short vaca trip was ruined? never eating meat from the airport again.

Waited 15 minutes for the cheese curd lasagna only to have them scoop it out from the line. No cheese topping at and tasted like it had been frozen for 2 years.
Waited 20 min for a burnt grilled cheese sandwich to eat during my 4 hrs trip.... do not waste your money.

Ordered 2 of the same sandwiches, and they only made one correct. The other was a different sandwich entirely. How does that even happen?
After ordering and waiting 20 +minutes, I inquired about my Bacon Egg and Cheese Sandwich. The employee was watching over 2 grills of sandwiches. Only one other customer was waiting with me. Employee looked for my order, and then grabbed foil? to wrap up my sandwich. The sandwich had cooked so long, the toast on both sides was burnt Black There were other sandwiches that she could have given me, and yes, I should have requested another sandwich with less burnt toast. Also when I opened the sandwich, I was curious what kind of egg product was used and the bacon was very, very thin. Overall, Beecher's Handmade Cheese at Midway was horrible, which is why I am writing.

I don’t expect gourmet food at an airport, but I do expect better than this.
I ordered at the kiosk, there is no indication of where you pick up your order, looking around there is a line with a sign stating pickup just down from the kiosk so I waited there. Apparently that’s not being used, staff is just calling out names at the register. Many other customers were standing with the same confusion.
The food, $12 for a smoked turkey sandwich which not only was bland, but the bread was burnt. I understand grilled, but it shouldn’t taste like ash.
I’d choose another option if you are in Midway for a layover.

They were out of a bunch of favorite items by 7pm, but the quality of the Grilled Fig & Cheese sandwich was great. Ordering at the kiosk was easy and convenient, a little awkward to figure out where to wait for the order to be ready, but staff were efficient and kind.
Vegetarian options: Not much for vegans (not surprising for a place with "cheese" in the name), but a variety of vegetarian sandwiches and soups on the limited menu.

Place order at the kiosk, watch staff seemingly doing nothing, wait...wait...wait... eventually your order is ready. Your wait is rewarded with a tasteless (but grilled) sandwich. We had the Smoked turkey...cheese was bland and turkey could not even be tasted. @$12.99 what a rip-off.
Yes, at Chicago's Midway Airport we were prepared to be price gouged but were hoping for a better food and service experience. And this was on a Tuesday afternoon with zero crowds.

This is a poorly run place. 2 workers. 1 on his phone and occasionally working the cash register. The other making all the grilled sandwiches. Kiosk did not list all menu items so ordered at the counter. Turkey sandwich had one piece of thin deli meat covering half the sandwich. Bread and cheese were tasty.

Wish I had checked here first. The service was less than desirable as two of the staff members were busy entertaining themselves. The sandwich should have been tasty, however there were burnt crumbs in half the sandwich and the other half had no cheese. They definitely were not cleaning the grill between orders as the crumbs were black and charred. If you’re looking for a quick bite coming through midway there are better options.

Even by American airport standards the food was terrible. Their turkey tomato cheese sandwich is a gooey monstrosity in tin foil with some lunch meat bunched up in the middle. I regret trying something new.
