The staff were very nice. Normally they sell pizza off a buffet line but when we asked for a cauliflower crust they made it and brought it to our table. The cheese and toppings were thick.

Staff is always super friendly. My favorite place for a slice and a beer between trains.

I only dined in briefly but I overheard the manager, Justin, on several interactions. He was very impressive and highly relational. All leaders could take a lesson from him on how to manage and relate with people. Made my day.

I asked for a cheese pizza and was given a pepperoni and wasn’t able to see the pepperoni until I had had a couple of bites. As a Muslim I can’t eat pork and this was unacceptable. They did apologise but this is not a mistake that should’ve happened. They should put some sort of labels or something to make sure this never happens again
very good pizza! and very close to union station!

This was actually the first time I had been to a sit in Beggars… most of them are grab and go. I appreciated the atmosphere.

Literally THE WORST chicken grilled burger .
a) Patty was super dry and raw
b) No flavor and no taste
c) Very limited option of veggies
d) it’s 20 dollars for this burger which is not worth at all.Total waste of money

My hubby was real excited for real Chicago pizza so upon our arrival from Las Vegas we went to Union station for our trip back we happened to see Beggars pizza across the street from Union Station Chicago. We were sorely disappointed… the pizza is sold by slices..it was not good. It was cold not fresh and tasted like a frozen pizza. A sad disappointing experience

Beggars Pizza is a great spot just a stone's throw from Union Station. I appreciated being able to get deep-dish pizza by the slice, as I usually can't eat more than one or two slices. While I'm no expert on Chicago deep-dish, it seemed to be right up there with others I've tried. The workers there were so friendly, a much better place to relax while waiting for my train. Price-wise felt it was very fare $8 and some change for a decent slice and drink. Will be back during my next stop-through.

It was our first time having Chicago deep dish pizza, and they did not disappoint! Not only was it delicious, but they made a pizza flavor off the menu for my autistic son, which made him feel so much better when he had been feeling overwhelmed with all the people approaching us when we walked out of the train station that is kitty corner from it while on our father-and-son cross country train adventure.
We had been trying to get to another pizza place, but as addicts kept approaching us and one even followed us for a block, he became so overwhelmed that he broke down and couldn't move any further, so we walked back towards the station and found Beggars Pizza right there. They were a life saver, and they made a special deep dish meatball pizza just for him, which really helped him calm down with a special "comfort" food.
If you're traveling through Chicago on Amtrak, I highly recommend Beggars Pizza! We had a long wait for our next train, so we were able to get a whole pizza made, but they also have pizza by the slice if you're in a pinch for time. Walking out of the station, turn left, go to the corner, and you'll see it on the right side of the street across the street, kitty corner from you.
