We really wanted to like this place but unfortunately the rude bartender with the glasses came on shift today. (2/21) about 11am. We will not be back. Stay away. She was very rude and condescending.

Very good burger and drinks. Love the vibe inside, feels like a classic Chicago dive but elevated a bit. Only issue is how packed this place is every single time I come here no matter what time it is. A lot like Small Bar where you have to awkwardly stand around tables for them to open up, with a first come first serve system. I understand it’s the nature of a popular small pub, but it honestly makes me not want ever bother even trying to get a spot.

Food is consistent. Drinks are strong and good. Music well shuffled. Big buck hunter is free (🔫🤠). Smashburger is my favorite sub $10 menu item in the general region.
This is a weird and beautiful combo of “funky enough for your pretentious friend”, “nostalgic enough for your boomer parents” and “consistent enough to bring a coworker”…all while feeling intentional and authentic. Bartenders all make a mean drink.
I love you best intentions please don’t ever change and please don’t raise the price of the smashburger. This is your Costco hotdog and should remain constant outside of inflation or market rates.

Selected as one of is the best bars in the US and you can tell why as soon as you walk in. It's warm friendly, & fun. I'm addition it's got great food. Everything is really good, but my favorite is the steak sandwich. Also try the pickled egg just for the heck of it. We all wish we could have a place like this down the block. A+++
