Tasty Venezuelan food and friendly employees. We had a pabellón arepa, three emapanaditas, three tequeños, and a tres leches cake for dessert.

It was our first time trying Venezuelan food, so we cannot vouch for its authenticity, but based on other reviews we trust it to be representative of the country’s cuisine.

The guasacaca in the Caribbean arepa was fantastic. The Tropical Vegan was more subtly flavored, but the marinated tofu was very good. We went on Wednesday evening, when arepas are discounted, but the discount only applied to one of these two items.

Fresh, delicious food at very reasonable prices, with the kindest, happiest people behind the counter. Even though I make arepas at home, I always make a point to stop here whenever I’m in Chicago. Walking through the doors feels like stepping into a little piece of my country. Truly special.
