Restaurant is closed, listed as open but no sign of life.
Please update your website. I came all the way out here and made a reservation just for the place place to be closed.
THIS PLACE IS PERMANENTLY CLOSED… 0/10 - literally shows open?

Got a little sick from looking at a picture of a live bird.
Nice and warm environment but they need to serve a full bottle of wine with a glass of wine ? actually and not with a whiskey glass lollll

We had a terrible experience at the end of our visit with one the hosts. The place was nearly empty as I walked in with 9 other friends for a drink at the bar. The host with the long sleeve shirt was nice to accommodate us at a couple tables. Our waitress was marvelous and this bad review has nothing to do with her because she was great. The other host with a black t-shirt and rotund appearance came to our table, very rudely said that we needed to "wrap this up" and that we needed to leave. At no point in time we were informed that there was a reservation, at 12:15am I might add, and that we needed to be done by then. He was extremely condescending with an abhorrent attitude. To the point that a trio was looking at dining in at the same time one of our friends went to confront this insolent host, that they decided to walk out because they didn't like the way he answered my friend. Not only losing paying costumers but being completely unpleasant. This happened yesterday, 10/26/2024 at approx. 12:15am. 2 of the individuals in our party were visiting from Switzerland and witnessed the terrible treatment by this graceless person. Safe to say, that none of the 10 individuals at this party will be returning.

Bijans takes hospitality to a different level and makes me and my family feel like home whenever we are there. On top of this, the food is out of this world.. brunch and dinner ! A must go place if your in chicago!

The cornbread appetizer had NO business being that good!!!! It was delicious!
The burger and gentleman sandwich were tasty too. We had them with side salads that were satisfying 🤗.
The service was great!

I had the classic burger and it tasted like frozen, low quality burger meat. The house sauce was so negligible I had to check if there was any on it, and there weren't any onions as stated on the menu. This rivals McDonald's burger -- but McDonald's is better and more flavorful.

This place is the worst. I’ve lived in the building above it for years and only come once for food and once for a beer. Food wasn’t memorable in the slightest and far too expensive. Not sure how it stays open, nobody is ever in there. I would rather it be an unoccupied tenant than Bijan’s.

I would highly recommend avoiding this restaurant. We got the steak and the salmon and both of the dishes were extremely bad. The steak lacked seasoning, while the salmon was bone-dry and had no taste to it. The eggplant that came along with the salmon had the consistency and flavor of paper. To add insult to injury, all of the items were extremely overpriced, the steak was $42, salmon was $30 and a side of Brussels sprouts was $11. We came on a weekday night and the establishment was empty, for good reason. We left extremely disappointed.

REVIEW UPDATE: Basil (the manager) reached out to me and offered my friends and I to come back for a better experience. I must say that it was 10x better. Rachel and Dan were absolutely amazing. We definitely were so much more pleased with our drinks and customer service. We will absolutely be returning after this experience. ❤️
I typically never leave 1 star reviews but I felt very warranted to do this. I went in with a few friends yesterday and had the worst customer service experience. We sat at the bar and ordered espresso martinis. We all work in the industry and a few of my friends there were bartenders. Once we received our drinks we made a comment about the drinks not being great and the bartender rolled his eyes and gave us a small plastic cup of baileys for us to pour into our drinks…he didn’t even offer to take the drinks back to shake the baileys into the cocktail the proper way.
Secondly, I ordered the wagyu burger and once I received it, I knew that it was just standard meat. I asked if he could kindly confirm that this is wagyu burger to which he replied “I’m a bartender not a chef”. Which was extremely off putting. He didn’t even offer to take the burger back. My friend clearly had a wagyu burger so we all knew that even though I was paying for a wagyu burger, I didn’t receive that.
Despite all of that, I left a 10% tip on the bill and paid for everything even though I was displeased.
Once I left, my friends let me know that he was complaining about the tip I left and once they mentioned his terrible customer service and blatant racism, they complained to the manager to which he responded “we’re all just on different wave lengths”.
Save your money. Save your time.
