Quesabirria is not how you normally eat birria in Mexico. However everything evolves and this is a nice variation! The snacks arrived fast and well packed for safety. I tried the Quesabirria first and it was pretty good! The grilled quesabirria tacos also very tasty. For my preference the birria could be a bit more spicy, but that's what the condiments are for! The only thing that didn't convince me was the consomme. It's supposed to be a clear, meaty tasting broth, this was watery, vaguely tasting of tomatoes. It was just Ok. The price is a bit high, but it is quality stuff. What ruined the experience was Grubhub's exorbitant fees! $42.25 for one quesadilla, two tacos and one can of pop?!! I wish these guys had their own delivery service. I would gladly pay the delivery gent 10-12 bucks instead of being gouged by Grubhub! I highly encourage you to go eat at the restaurant and try it a bowl of birria with tortillas and condiments on the side. The tacos & quesadillas do not travel well, it would be awesome to snarf them right off the grill! Salud Compadres! Good work!

I think they only have goat meat, so it's a positive for the no- pork crowd. just it doesn't say " halal". it's braised goat & quite tasty, especially as tacos.

Easily one of the best bowls of birria I've ever had. The made in house tortillas are out of this world, with a perfect texture that soaks up the soup. I was very, very pleased with my experience with the staff, as well. Everyone was very friendly and welcoming, even checking to see if I wanted more tortillas.
10/10 experience, and I'll definitely be coming back with friends!

Hands down the best birria tacos you can ever get. I’ve tried many birria tacos and these do not even compare. Come here multiple times a week when I am in town with my boyfriend Stan. Great service and always feel so welcome coming here. They also make their own tortillas that just take the tacos to the next level. I dream of these tacos regularly. 10/10

As a Southern California local, this is easily the best taco I've had in Illinois. A little pricey, but worth it considering you'll have to go many miles to get anything better.As any taco fan knows, the most important part is the salsa and you won't be disappointed. The liquid salsa that comes with the tacos is homemade, unique and delicious. They also have a chunky salsa that is not quite as good in my opinion.The birria taco is the best IMHO, it isn't quite as consomme forward as the standard birria taco (not fried for instance) and it's better for it. The cabeza is crispy which was unexpected.One of the best things about this little taco stand is that it is next door to the world famous Green Mill Jazz club. Hard to imagine a better combo than tacos and jazz.I strongly recommend this restaurant as the latest addition to my 4.7+>100 Reviews list for Illinois
