I went to Deabak in Chinatown before and am excited this spot opened up in Lincoln Park. I didn't want to go to Chinatown to eat Korean food so now I can enjoy in a closer location. Having gone on a Friday night, it wasn't a full house, but a good amount of people were there. We ordered Pork Combo. It comes with C1 (Premium Seared Pork Belly), C2 (Premium pork jowl), and either C3,4, or 5. We chose C4 (thinly sliced pork belly marinated with special chili sauce). I liked my selection.I love a good Korean BBQ spot and what I love about this place is that they cook the meat for you! When I mentioned to my friend about having to cook your own food at the table, she goes "you want me to pay to cook my own food? What's the point of eating at a restaurant?" Growing up with Korean bbq concept on a regular basis, this never crossed my mind, but now, I can take my friend here and not have to worry about pay to cook. haha!Starting off with C1 pork belly was great because you get the thickness of pork bacon, a Korean classic. Then C2 was ok, a bit on the salty side, but my C4 thin meat with spicy flavor was good. Paired this up with chadol dwenjang (beef brisket in soybean paste stew), corn cheese, and steamed egg? MMMM.... the best!

Our waitress was amazing. She explained the menu and every item we received. She also cooked all of our proteins and checked on us often. The food was amazing and extremely flavorful. Definitely a great place for family, friends, or a date.

Had a really nice late dinner at Daebak! It's a little expensive (~$45 per person), but we were very pleased with the quantity and quality of the food! I would absolutely recommend this place if you're looking for a good Korean BBQ meal. Just note that the staff does the cooking for you (at your table), so you don't do the cooking yourself.

Came here with a friend for dinner and we had the beef combo and the peach soju. Great food, and they cook it for you which is nice! Our server was friendly and explained the best way to eat everything. We had so much food and yet ate most of it! Loved the variety of accoutrements.

A unique dining experience with a table top grill for sizzling meats and vegetables. Tasty side dishes including kimchi, tofu, bean sprouts, and rice. Excellent customer service.

Fun experience!! We came here with our two younger kiddos - it was pretty empty early on a Saturday night. Pros: - Pretty atmosphere - K Pop playing on all the TVs - Beef combo was a lot of food and delicious - Great drinks - Great service Cons: - Prices were much more expensive than the online menu ($65 online vs. $83 in restaurant menu for small beef combo) - Not many vegetarian options; dumplings were great, but no tofu. I ordered the bibimbop vegetarian which was basically rice, the sides from the beef combo and an egg yolk. Would love to try it again once they get tofu!

Very mediocre, meat was chewy. Portions were very small for the price. Side dishes were very small and do not refill unless you want to pay for all 7. Meat portion shown was 1 order. Minimum of 2 was also required. Much better off going to an AYCE.

This place is just terrible. They noticed we are south korean and intentionally did not send server to us. We were waiting there for 30 minutes and decided to get out. You guys should be careful. They are definitely hiding something. There are plenty of awesome korean bbq restaurant a bit northern part. It would be better for you guys to go there.

Waiter took 20 minutes to take our order and we waited another 20 before we got our drinks. The waitress cooked our food without asking us if we wanted them to, which goes against the point of kbbq. They need about double the waitstaff.

The restaurant is clean and modern. Our server was friendly and very attentive. Food was perfectly portioned and cooked well. The marinated pork belly was a big hit and the rice cake dish was spicy and good!

Pros: Nice new space, clean and spacious, friendly service. Cons: Quality of meat and side dishes are below average. Side dishes and rice were not fresh (i.e., fish cake side dish (eomok bokkeum) was hard - usually soft and chewy). Our server did say they got slammed the previous night d/t Lollapalooza so this could have been a factor.

Kbbq in the heart of Lincoln Park. The place is very clean and easy to find street parking! Better than Chinatown. Food: meats are plentiful and fresh. Banchan are refillable. The servers are really nice and attentive. Great drinks as well!

It was amazing food. So filling. Service awesome. My only thing would be that we were sat at the front of the restaurant in front of a huge TV playing American Sports. That is NOT the vibe I want when having a dining out experience at a new restaurant. Especially one that is a cultural experience. I want an immersive setting of food & culture within my surroundings. Going out to eat is an experience. So was just really annoying and off putting to feel like we were in an American Bar eating Korean food with this huge TV playing football in front of us. Very disappointing. Turn it off. We're here to enjoy a Korean night out. Especially when celebrating a special occasion!

I would give this place more stars if it allowed me. The kbbq was very flavorful, the staff was very kind and helpful, and the restaurant was clean. My server, Christopher, was very attentive and offered great recommendations. He took his time explaining all of the side dishes and prepared our bbq to perfection. Thank you, Christopher.
