Have been many times. This time was a bit disappointing. Food was a little “extra” on nearly every plate - too much of one ingredient overwhelmed the flavor of the rest of the dish. Service was good and great vibe.

The menu changed and worsened since last time. The Japanese pub burger is messy and sits on top of a massive bed of fondue cheese that you can't even eat. The fried rice was below average. The green beans were good as usual however, and the past dishes were solid.

The staff at BiXi were incredibly attentive and warm. The food was incredible. I love their brunch!

Son ordered something he had before - grilled cheese with Kimchee and had short ribs put on it - omg.....amazing. I had drunken noodles - a little less sauce and more noodles would've made it perfect but good. Husband had wok dish - pretty good. Highlight was the string beans!!!

Anytime Bixi does their Owen & Engine pop-up, it's a must go. That doesn't suggest their standard menu isn't stellar; but, this review was for the pop-up. ALL seats in the house main level and upstairs all had reservations, including the bar. So, while you could go up to the bar and order a drink, there were no oppotunities to belly up to the bar, order a drink and eat drink, if you so desired. I had a reservation for a table, so this did not matter to me much; but, it would have been nice as the early arrival to have a place to chill at the bar. Food was outstanding. Ordered the pickled small plate, french onion soup and salad medium plates and the burger main plate. Service was on-point, the hazy beer was fantastic. Overall, had a blast and will be returning. Finding free parking on the street relatively close-by is doable; however, can be a challenge. Paid parking is much easier to find.

Very average food. It is a nice and large space probably good for big groups.

My friends and I went to Bixi Beer last night as one of my friends kept telling us they were known for their burger. I was really excited going into it and had high hopes from everything my friend had told me but was very dissapointed by the quality of the food given how pricey it was. I ordered the soft pretzel which was delicious and my friends and I had told our server we already knew we wanted the sticky toffee pudding for dessert and mentioned this because they seemed to run out of it quickly and wanted to make sure we got some. Our dessert ended up being served before our entrees and since the toffee pudding was served with ice cream I felt like I needed to eat it otherwise it wouldn’t be fresh and the ice cream would melt. I had ordered my burger medium and the moment I took the first bite I knew it was more on the rare side and then I looked and all I could see was red meat and there was even blood dripping from the patty which made my appetite go away all together. My friend also ordered a burger whey the waitress forgot to put in with the rest of our order and it didn’t come out until 30+ minutes after we were all done eating. The bar manager was super nice but this place was definitely not worth the money!

I love Bixi and Owen and Engine...by far my fav Chicago burger. But the kitchen was either super slow or backed up, as the burger took over an hour in which the fries were not even hot anymore when served. Despite that, the burger was as good as in remember from the last Owen and Engine pop-up.

Long time Owen and engine patron but this was my first foray into Bixi Beer. What an amazing experience. My date's cocktail wasn't enjoyable, so I requested a different cocktail and stated “you don't have to remove this cocktail from the tab. We just want a different cocktail”. The server brought us the desired cocktail, and removed the cocktail from the tab without ask and despite my request. Top notch service; and the Owen & engine menu did not disappoint. The burger and fries were exceptional. I hope this isn't the last Owen & Engine specialty because I look forward to the next one. Nevertheless, I will also frequent Bixi, going forward.

Really nice spot to grab a meal for a date night or with friends! I especially love their second floor, which has lots of natural light (and you might not notice from the outside).
